Will Gettleman pursue JPP as a potential replacement for Hardy?

Jason Pierre - Paul will be a free agent come 3/10, Gettleman was with the Giants when he was drafted, will be interesting to see if he pursues JPP as a potential replacement for Hardy.

Jason Pierre-Paul will not come cheap,so i had rather spend cap money on our OL,WR's and Safteypositions, other areas of need. Plus,Paul has had several injuries and been prone to be inconsistent. I had rather develop what we have at DE and add a draft choice to the mix.

Honestly---which will never happen---my dream scenario would be to have Justin Houston replace Hardy once Hardy departs.  

 

JPP is probably a higher likelihood, and cheaper than even Hardy would be.

26......years old..  Only one season where he didn't play a full 16 games.    that was in '13  where he missed 5 games. 

 

 

He has had over 10 sacks twice in his career.     16.5  sacks in '11 and   12.5 sacks last season.

JPP will probably get more money than he's worth, which means he probably won't be a Panther.  He had one good year and that was 3 or 4 years ago.  If we're spending big money on Hardy's replacement, we might as well keep Hardy because money is the only legitimate reason not to keep him.

 

edit:  didn't see the post above this one, didn't realize he had a solid year last year.  Still not worth what he's going to get, though.  He's not half the DE Hardy is, so unless we can get him for half of what we could get Hardy for he's not worth it.

When will you people realize Hardy is in fact not gone, he is currently a Panther and beyond that nobody knows.  Not these so-called sources, not the owner of this message board, not Bill Voth, certainly not Joe Person.  No one but possibly Gettleman, and he'd be foolish to have already made up his mind about it.
