Question for the semi-finalists:

 

We had a fake tweet thread posted a few days ago which made everyone lose their panties. If you knew the OP posted without malice and thought the information being posted was true, would you ban the OP or would you do things differently?

Honestly depends on OP's history. Much like the Kraken where a history of bad decisions makes a dismissal of charges kind of a moot point, if the poster has exhibited a history of being an idiot, I'd probably ban. If it was say an SCP or Catman72 or Jackofalltrades that did it you would have to assume they were just trying to break a news story and provide the Huddle with the latest panthers news.

Mistakes are just that and should not be punished.

 

However in determining whether or not it was a mistake you have to look at more than just the posters words.  Posting history, a penchant for stirring poo up, or general trollish/belligerent nature would also have to come into account.

 

 

The bottom line is that this site is too high profile these days to allow that kind of poo to originate from here.  So a zero tolerance policy would have to be in place and enforced without prejudice.
