I have been saying for a good while now that nobody stands out in this draft. 

 

Don't think there is a soul that can start at LT from this draft class, everyone has a question mark.

 

Look for people wanting to trade down.

I don't know how I would feel about a rookie starting at LT no matter where we draft him. I would like to see us sign a respectable left tackle and draft a versatile tackle to compete with Remmers.

WR/S in the first, OT with potential in the second/third. He can battle Remmers for the RT spot while our stop gap old dude plays LT for us for a couple seasons until we deem someone else competent to play LT.

When we've got a solid talent evaluator, a higher pick is a good thing (even n a rough draft).

Respectable LT's don't hit FA and if any do they are usually old and overpriced.

Jared Veldheer signed with the Cardinals last year started all 16 games and drastically improved their LT position. His cap hit is only 8 mil per year.

It's impossible to tell really. Many of the highly touted guys the past several years have been dissapointing and then you find a mid round guy who after a year to two turns out to be the best tackle.    Tackle's, while clearly important, are being overvalued in the draft recently and it's causing guys to be taken waay ahead of where they should be.

If the Panthers spend money anywhere in free agency this offseason, it'll be on a LT.  Question is, is there one worth spending money on??

Sounds like Oher or Barksdale to me (even though neither is that young).
