Brandon Marshall Traded to the Jets

Dated somebody who I found out had that.

Would never ever do it again.

i'm kind of surprised that he's even getting treatment for it as i've come to understand that it's rare for people who have it to actually get formally diagnosed or seek help.  the emotional outbursts and anger problems are usually closely associated with deep seated denial that there's an issue.

Bears probably nudged him pretty hard in that direction after his locker room outburst last season.

Absolutely.  Their defense will not be able to keep up, especially against teams that control the clock well on offense.  You see a lot more of those kinds of teams in the post season.  For that reason, I don't see them ever making it past the divisional round, if they even make it to the playoffs.

Well, keep in mind they do play in what's become a weak division.

I know the Cowboys looked better last year but I'm not sure how much I trust that to continue.

He's probably one of the rare few who has accepted that there's an issue, and went after treatment on his own.

Hey, I posted a thread in NFL room about 2 months ago saying that. Since he is now over personnel in Philly. I wouldn't be surprised if it happened. Everyone thinks he's happy with Foles, but that offense needs someone like Mariota to run it the way he wants. But I give credit to Foles, just don't think with the history Kelly has with Oregon plus the moves he's already made to get Oregon players that he passes Mariota up that easy.

I wouldn't say that everyone thinks he is happy with Foles, In fact it's quite the opposite. It has been reported since last year that Foles was going to get benched for Sanchez but he got hurt right before that happened so the decision was made for Chip.

It's no secret that Chip will move to #6 if Mariota is still there and supposedly the Jets have no interest in Mariota so they will happily send that pick to Philly. I could definitely see that happening and Foles going to the Jets along with draft picks to battle with Geno for the starting QB job.

He actually went into treatment in 2011 after his wife was arrested for domestic violence for supposedly stabbing him. Although Marshall never has shared what really happened, it is fairly clear he was in the wrong and not her.

As it has been mentioned earlier, the "A Football Life" episode about Brandon is very interesting.

As I recall, he wasn't particularly happy with some of how that show portrayed him.

He's been focusing on being a weekly analyst on Inside the NFL last year and at least now he won't have to travel. H's not really focused on being a player as much anymore tbh and he wouldn't have done us much good.

Wouldn't have done us much good?  Did you watch Cotchery last year? Did you see that Bersin was a #1 option on a play in the playoffs?  Regardless of reasons to not bring him here, he definitely would help, even playing half as good as he usually does.

I'll be disappointed if we sign no help on this caliber and we find out we could have for a 5th round pick.  However, I have a good feeling we grab Torey Smith and hopefully draft a WR as well.

It will only get worse when all the other good players are gone and we are all celebrating the signing of Michael Oher as though we just landed Calvin Johnson or something. Other than Oher, who has this team visited or showed remote interest in?! Why haven't we visited Hartline yet? Jacoby Jones? Among others. We have to meet with these guys now to lay the ground work and get feelers for when FA starts, we have did nothing of the sort

Jacoby Jones has signed with the Chargers which more than likely guarantees Royal will not be resigned. There will be plenty of WRs that we can sign for less in free agency plus a solid depth of WR in the draft.

    • I see they blamed Slavin for the goal like I did.
    • See this is the problem, you say "can't get off the line quick" and "can't separate quick" but in reality it's "he can get off the line better and create more separation" which are two completely different things. If he couldn't get off the line or separate, he wouldn't have put up the numbers he did and end up a Top 10 pick. But he can get better, and maybe more accurately, consistent with them both, and that will take his game to the next level.  These are things that are also much easier to improve once you get to the NFL than things like being a poor route runner or having bad hands, two of his strengths. Thinking he can't get open in the short passing game also shows you haven't watched enough tape on him, as he was used in that role so much in college with little issue getting open and making plays. And him not using his physicality as much isn't even something that hurts his game because he's so much more agile than a player of his size should be, which he used to his advantage.  Instead of throwing passes where he'd go up and box out a player like a TE or Mike Evans does, they use his athleticism and put the ball in places that only he can get to it, and he usually does (and yes, he'll still be able to do that against NFL DB's with his catch radius). But now that he's in the NFL, I'd like to see him get stronger and add that to his game because it also will help him take his game to another level. As I've said before, if he doesn't improve on those things at all, I think he's a Top 25 WR in this league, he's already that good.  But I think he'll improve on those things and be a perennial Top 10 WR and in his prime is considered and perform like Top 5 guy in some years. My expectations for him this year at 800 yards and 8 TDs (although I do think he'll get to 10 TDs) with a real chance at getting to 1,000.  But those expectations are because I think Thielen will lead the team in yards with close to 1k and XL/Coker each end up in the 500-600 range themselves, just too many mouths to feed this year for a rookie to dominate yardage, especially if we're running the ball well again. But if Thielen can't stay healthy or puts up sub 750 yards, then yea, my expectations for T-Mac likely shift to getting to 1k as a rookie.
    • Svech only 1 goal behind the guy they've pretty much already given the Conn Smythe to...
