It wouldn't hurt my feelings if DG paid Bryan Bulaga $7 million a year

Right tackle Bryan Bulaga is ticketed for free agency and is said to be seeking a contract worth between $7 million and $8 million per year, two NFL sources familiar with the offensive tackle market told the Journal Sentinel.

The Packers entered the weekend with $32 million in cap space, a number that will be shaved down once the official figures in Cobb's four-year, $40 million deal come out. One of the sources told the Sentinel the Packershave "no interest" in going to $7 million annually for Bulaga, who graded out as ProFootballFocus.com's 16th-best tackle last season.

Now he likely won't... a $7 million per year OT is a "Tiffany's" signing and its almost 99.99% sure we won't go there.

But I'll fully support him if he does. :)

Is he not worth 7mil? I mean wouldn't he be an instant upgrade at LT?

He's a RT.  He'd be a major upgrade for us at RT, but is a RT worth $7M a year?

We aren't talking about an All-Pro RT here.  We're talking about a good RT.  A good RT who has ended up on IR in two of the past three seasons and missed a total of 28 games in his 5 seasons.

No.  I wouldn't touch the guy at $7M per year.  That's assuming typical guaranteed money for such a contract.

Durability concerns probably have a lot to do with it.  He's missed 24 games in the past three seasons, including one entire season for a torn ACL.

That doesn't seem like 7m worth then. Besides we all know he's not coming here after the Oher signing anways.

I don't think the Oher signing has anything to do with it.  I think the fact that Bulaga is the only real quality starting OT on the market is going to drive his price well beyond his value.  Especially when you factor in the very real durability concerns.
