Vince Young won’t be at the veteran combine after all
 

The NFL’s new veteran combine will be a spectacle anyway, with Michael Sam taking another shot at finding an NFL job.

So it didn’t really need Vince Young to be a circus.

According to Brian Smith of the Houston Chronicle, one of Young’s representatives said the former first-rounder wasn’t accepted and won’t be attending the March 22 event at the Cardinals practice facility.

Young had been reported to be involved in the new event by the league’s own media arm, so it seemed credible enough at the time.

Guessing the Hall of Fame induction is gonna be on hold a little longer.

What's the point of turning anyone with an NFL resume' away?

Surely there's not a line to participate.

Young's talented enough in his own right for something like this. It's almost like they just dont want the pub (which isnt exactly the NFLs style)

Whatever happened to ol' JaWalrus?  I remember he started to make some noise about a comeback last offseason, and seemed to have lost a lot of weight and getting in shape... I figured he'd probably try his hand at this veteran combine.

You can bet your sweet ass that if he were gay the NFL wouldn't be turning him away.  Not that there's anything wrong with that.
