The combine should add a "mental combine" for prospects with past character issues.

Ok for those bashing this idea, explain how this is a bad idea?! You would be amazed and certain psych evaluations that can go a long way in determining if a player is a high risk of being a repeat offender or not. Wouldn't you like that if it meant DGB being labeled as a low risk player and as a result we drafted him?!

Especially after the Hardy/Ray Rice fiascos you would think something like this would become more of a reality

It's an unnecessary idea, for one.  teams already do thorough background checks.

 

For another, how do you think players (and their agents) would react to being singled out for additional psychological testing?

 

The process as it is already does plenty.

At the end of the 40, there could be a table with a lit joint on one end, a bitch to punch, a fighting dog, and an application for community service.

90% of them would immediately hit the J, without a question.
