Hopefully this rumor has more backbone than Arsen's rumor about us signing Jason Worldis.

 

If anyone on this forum....ANYONE....claims that they have a source, inside info, or has a friend that knows, etc. 

 

Forget about it. Not true 99% of the time. 

 

If anyone here knows poo quote the source. I don't believe the story about Nicks one bit. It doesn't take much common sense to put together that a decent player in a position of need that happens to be from this city could possibly sign a contract to play here.

If Gettleman thought that WR Hakeem Nicks was a good fit for us and could be signed reasonable,he would probably want to give him at least a two year,incentive laden contract.

Yes please.  Maybe being back home will put him in the position to perform.  With KB, him, Ginn, Brown, and a possible draft pick, we are in much better position than last.

this man can flat out play.... it is a crime to not bring in a guy of this kind of caliber and yet resign a dolt who muffed two punts in a playoff game and nearly single handedly cost us a game

Is it really that hard to believe that Nicks has a HS buddy he still keeps in touch with?

 

And that this HS buddy is a Panther fan in the Charlotte area?  With the interwebs and some free time?

 

If anything, the spin Nicks put on the story to his buddy clarifies why G'man encouraged him to pursue other teams.  He took an offer 33% below the Panthers because he didn't want to be the "main man"?  Left $1.5 million on the table?  

 

If it's true, or if it's not;  go play somewhere else.
