Lol.

@PriscoCBS: Chiefs actually traded for Ben Grubbs. Did they watch him last year?

This was an overpaid, under producing move. Not a cap hell move. He was going to be cut. Not sure why anyone would have traded for him.

i had heard he was going to be cut too

i mean if somebody wandered up to me and offered to pay me $10 for the broken TV i was about to throw out i'm not going to say no

I hope they trade Brees, I'm not scared whatsoever of the Saints stock piling draft picks. How did that work for the Rams since the RG3 trade?! Drew Brees and Jimmy Graham are first ballot HOFers, this draft doesn't appear to have those kind of players. fug em, let them stock pile draft picks, if it means nomore Brees or Graham twice a year I'm all for it. Besides, the extra 1st rounder they got was just the 31st pick anyway

Laugh all you want, your team is in cap hell and burning to the ground.

Exactly.

I was really happy with the signing after Nicks left. He never lived up to the hype. He was pretty terrible last year. I expect Collins at 13.

All of this may be true. But trading an overpaid guard instead of cutting him and getting nothing for him has nothing to do with that.

Let me guess, Jimmy Graham is an overrated system tight end and that's why you traded him too?

Anyone who ever says the cap is a myth (still waiting for Ace Boogie to reply to me on that one), should watch what the Saints did last offseason...and now this one. They went all in, and manipulated the cap to get a guy like Byrd last year. And now? Welp, they're shipping out talent like Graham, cutting some of their only defensive talent, and now the OL that protects Bressus. Some pieces aren't that major, but they're still a sign of the cap at work.

    • After last season, it was the same question. And the answer most people came to was "If he doesn't make the playoffs, he's gone." He made the playoffs. No matter how it was done, we made it to the playoffs. He's safe. He's going to have a chance to keep working this out, even if next season isn't a playoff one.  I think we'll do better next year than we did this season. There's something being built here.
    • The NBA is a very fickle league. Kon is one of the hottest rookies in years and beyond just his play on the court he is a very steady competitor and that translates to the rest of the team. That has been a glaring absence with the culture of this franchise through the bulk of the LaMelo Ball years that's just being completely blunt and realistic. The enigma of LaMelo Ball is he is entering year 6 and still either red hot or ice cold. We need him to find that sweet spot. Logic dictates the Hornets will want to see this core again next year. But the clock is beyond ticking at this point. It's put up or shut up. Especially considering what the Thunder managed to do recently. I'm hopeful they can keep these wins rolling in and get some much needed playoff experience under their belts which will help substantially.
    • I think as long as the Panthers are competitive with Canales they should keep him. Pepper needs to repair his/the teams image as a place prized free agents aren't hesitant to consider. Just dont do any crazy poo for a few years.
