whoa..Newton says we have a much lower cap than Huddlers thought

With the release of running back DeAngelo Williams hitting the books the Panthers are approximately $11.4 million under the cap, according to ESPN’s Roster Management.

About $5 million of that must be set aside to sign draft picks, with another $2 million to be kept in reserve for emergency signings in training camp or during the season.

So that leaves just over $4 million to spend in free agency -- or to be used towards signing current players such as quarterback Cam Newton to an extension.

Than we thought? Anybody that knows more about how it works than madden knows we aren't out of cap hell. Gettleman said THREE YEARS. THREE. NOT TWO. And its really not that bad especially after more possible extensions. We don't have many holes to fill and what we do get will be the cheap diamonds in the rough. We are and will be fine.
