Mr. Richardson did flex muscles regarding Hardy

The people who have convinced themselves that Hardy was gonna come back on a "team friendly" deal believe in Fairies and Elves and Hobbits but do NOT believe in Agents.

The contract he signed with the Cowboys is "team friendly".  There is zero guaranteed money in that contract.  All but $750k of it is based on workout bonuses, per game bonuses, and performance bonuses.

Obviously if someone is suspended you can't do that. That goes without saying. Before the suspension.

You mean the "before" part when Rivera and Gettleman were clear in saying Hardy would be on the field until the legal process played out?

That "before" part?

So?  The Cowboy's didn't sign him to NOT play.

Proves what a lot of us knew about the team...JR isn't a hands off owner and we are historically worse off because of it.

Innocent man and all pro DE not even offered a dollar by the team that drafted him...total fail and hypocrisy abound. I fully believe that hardy was hanging with the wrong people but he was also railroaded.

I wonder what you people would have done if a drugged up crazy woman was in your house breaking poo. Maybe you'd try to remove her from your house? Call the cops? hmmm

When me and my wife play around and wrestle or jump on the trampoline or play some ball she often comes away with huge bruises especially around the areas where you'd grab someone and near the knee/elbows and other joints...and not even that hard mind you.

I always figured Jerry Richardson was very much hands on with the team as well. What kind of owner of a team wouldn't be to a certain extent? To the people who thought otherwise, well they're very foolish.

You said fans who thought he would be willing to sign a team friendly deal were delusional.  He signed a team friendly deal.

Not if he earns $13 million dollars.

And the fans I were referring to, as I'm sure you know, considered "team friendly" to be equivalent to "low dollar" since the Panthers wouldn't have been able to afford anything else.  So, please, lets not be pedantic.

Change the definitions if you like.  Not sure why you're so mad.  It's weird.

Jerry has his favorites. It is a fact. If you don't kiss his ass and worship the ground he walks on, well then you are expendable. Just see Julius Peppers and Kris Jenkins. It's no mystery why Steve Smith could beat up multiple teammates and JR have his back.

You're referring to that guy we cut last year?

I really wish JR would become a hands off type of owner. Let the football geniuses run the show and make personnel decisions.

You mean like these guys?

Seahawks General Manager John Schneider said Hardy’s background was the biggest factor in their pursuit of the free agent defensive end not going any further.

Via, Bob Condotta of the Seattle Times, Schneider was asked if their reluctance was based on Hardy’s off-field situation.

“Absolutely, yeah,” Schneider said. “Yes. That was the primary thing.”

Seahawks were nervous about Greg Hardy and his price

    • Sheesh, that's a tough schedule for our rookie QB.
    • One of the hardest things I ever had to do was learn how to push/drive with power again after a knee injury that was really a repetitive motion injury. Even after 7 years, it's still something I have to consciously make an effort to do or I slip back into my old habits. Those things don't just go away.
    • I think he is such an outlier people didn’t know what to do with him coming up. If he can get by with his unique mechanics and get the win, those coaches accept it and work around whatever they need to. Path of least resistance. Easier to put him in the gun and snap it to him back there, you don’t have to teach him to do under center drop plant throw timing stuff. Matter of fact that isn’t just him. That is all over high school and college. But he is a special case with that crazy parallel meandering back pedal on the tippy toes. That is height related, seems to me. It is how he adapted.  Talk about fixing it, tall odds, as fuged up as his mechanics are relative to proper. What Warner is pointing out (and explaining it much much better than I ever could) is a lot easier to talk about than do something about.
