I am on Bre shad Perriman's bandwagon

I'm on the fence about Perriman. It would definitely depend on who else is available.

Him and KB would be an interesting duo.

To have such a dynamic duo with a play making vet in the slot, or even one of them in the slot, would make for a valid triple threat, not to mention Olsen being left one on one underneath. Man. I can only dream.

Dude, no.

How many times do we have fall for the same type of prospect? Perriman makes Patterson look like Fitzgerald.

You're way off base. Perriman not only runs better routes (even now), but he has no problem getting separation. He will get separation based on speed alone, just think what he can do once coached up.

People knocking Perriman and exclaiming we won't draft him probably said the same thing about Kelvin last year. Similar knocks on their game and rawness at the position, but Breshad is the better athlete. Improved his play every season even after losing Bortles to the draft a season prior to his final year in college. Him being a hands-catcher leads me to believe he can improve there and he is fluid in his movements. Tidy up that route running and he's got about as much upside as any guy in the draft.

And yes, he is a natural hands catcher according to reports. A CP comparison is just wrong.

Don't need to read reports to see that he's a hands catcher, and that's why I feel it's correctable.

Perriman is a smooth moving athlete with elite speed and explodes out of breaks. His route running can also be corrected.

Perriman plays to his size and can fight through press coverage. Perriman will win on the outsides at the next level and that's not something I can say for a guy like Strong.

I do. Strong isn't a burner but he's big, smart and, most importantly, he's got those hands. He'll fit right in with our scheme. If we desire break away speed, we could always opt for Parker (who has very solid hands too).

Perriman bothers me only because he's the prototypical blazingly-fast WR with below average hands and very little football smarts. Rarely do those types hang around the NFL for more than three years. I wouldn't mind him if we drafted him in the late rounds, but in first round? Hell no.

Where are you getting your info that Perriman possesses "very little football smarts"?

Very little football smarts? Where the hell did you read that? He has a football pedigree.

Interesting is a good word for that duo. Frustrating as hell with the drops but limitless potential. Two big bodies and a mismatch for any defense. Throw in Olsen and Cam would finally have a formidable cast of pass-catchers.

If they catch passes. But personally I don't know enough. Just what others have said.

    • To kick this up, The Athletic has a really comprehensive piece out where pretty much all QB questions are addressed. It is worth seeing.  https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/7083539/2026/03/04/starting-quarterback-projections-free-agency-draft/?source=user_shared_article I’m putting something specific here but it should have a thread or something. It is an extensive exercise.  This is a dense write up with a lot of column inches used, about the Jets and Murray and Reich, all this stuff.. then it goes to backup QB and there is Dalton.  I am pasting that part: As for Dalton, Reich is installing the offense he was trying to run in Carolina in 2023 before he got fired, and Dalton was with the Panthers then; he’s an ideal option as a veteran backup to replace Taylor. Reich said this about Dalton in 2023: “The way he's throwing the football, the way he works through progressions, the way he handles the operation. … Since day one (when) he walked in the door, I'm like, 'This guy is starter-worthy.' You guys know I've said that all along. He's, in my opinion, one of the best 32 quarterbacks in the world.” ——— That’s true love lol. I never heard any of this. Pretty crazy I think, considering how the year went.   Anyway the dream is not dead. .
    • The Seahawks traded for wide receiver/returner Rashid Shaheed at the trade deadline. He proved to be a key acquisition. Shaheed returned a punt and a kickoff for touchdowns in the regular season and had a 95-yard kickoff return in the postseason. Shaheed, though, is scheduled for free agency. So, the 12 games he played, including the postseason, might be the extent of his time in Seattle. Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that Shaheed and the Seahawks are not close to an extension, and the expectation is that the two-time Pro Bowler will hit free agency. Shaheed has 153 receptions for 2,243 yards and 12 touchdowns in his four-year career to go along with three punt return touchdowns and a kickoff return touchdown. He ranks 13th on PFT’s top-100 free agents. https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/report-rashid-shaheed-appears-headed-to-free-agency
