But on a serious note, a mean streak isn't something you can just develop. Hanging out with Norwell ain't going to do jack poo, it's something you have or you don't. Like I said I don't mind this signing because of the low risk, I haven't paid any attention to the product Martin brings on the field so I can't bash this signing.

Competitive "mean streaks" come with confidence in your level of play.

For all we know, Cameron Wake blew him up on his first NFL practice snap ever and he has felt out of place ever since then

So all year people claimed that "anyone" would be better than what we have, but when we sign "anyone" they complain.

For those that aren't happy with this or the Oher signing who would you have signed? I didn't really notice many quality tackles hit the open market.

I was one of the people saying that "anyone" would be better than what's on the roster. I'm just glad he got some guys that were at least drafted to play left tackle. It still shouldn't stop Gettleman from drafting a tackle for the first time in his Panthers history. I'm pretty sure he will, after he drafts more defensive help and another guard. I'm glad those comp picks came through when they did.

This can let us draft a more risky tackle in the draft. Like in the first or second and if he isn't healthy at the beginning of the season.
