Interesting mock draft

Just seen this mock draft and thought it was interesting from the players the panthers are looking at.

http://www.mockdrafthq.com/2015/03/panthers-mock-draft-of-the-future.html

1. Panthers: Ereck Flowers OT Miami

The O-line should be completely recreated going into next season. The biggest change will come at LT. Flowers should be able to slip right in as a day 1 starter. Other Options- La’el Collins(if he falls), Ty Sombrallio, TJ Clemmings

2. Panthers: Rashad Greene WR Florida State

Not only does he have a past relationship with fellow receiver Kelvin Benjamin, but he also has something Benjamin doesn’t, great hands. He catches everything, and it is suprising when he doesn’t. Other Options- Justin Hardy(very, very close second), Jay Ajayi, Cedric Ogubehi

3. Panthers: Laken Tomlinson OG Duke

A great player and even better person. He should be able to step in with Turner immediately to make the o-line really good. Other Options- Tre Jackson, Jalen Collins, Ifo Ekpre-Olomu

4. Panthers: Byron Jones CB Connecticut

The CBs are something that can definitely be improved. Norman is becoming really good and Benwikere looks good, but the need some more help. Other Options- Cody Riggs, Quandre Diggs, Damian Swann

5. Panthers: Jamison Crowder WR Duke

He has that burner speed needed in Carolina along with KR/PR ability that is also very much needed. Other Options- Antwan Goodley, Austin Hill, Rob Havenstein

6. Panthers: Sean Hickey OT Syracuse

Continue building the o-line, or at least adding depth to it. Other Options- Tayo Fabuleje, Tyrus Thompson, Eric Lefeld

7. Panthers: Kyshoen Jarrett S Virginia Tech

Secondary wanted. Other Options- Nick Marshall, Eric Dargan, Justin Coleman

This guy better not say this to Norwell.

Norwell angry.

Norwell crush.

My boy Greene up in the second. Wouldn't be upset with it but don't think our oline needs this much attention.

Figured you'd like that, given your thread.

Guy who wrote it seems to be a Broncos fan. Doubt he's that well informed when it comes to us

Overall somewhat decent draft though.

I definitely wouldn't want to spend a 3rd on a guard considering how well Norwell played unless Gettleman thinks Tomlinson is a lock as an all-pro guard.  If he's head and shoulders the BPA, then you kinda gotta pull the trigger, but I'd hope for something else.

If Byron Jones is still available in the 4th, that's a steal.  That's a no-brainer.

Crowder has "burner speed"?  Since when?

I would be pretty surprised to see us use a decent pick on a guard.  We've got two young guys penciled in to start and another couple of guys who should provide decent depth.  I could see us picking up a guard late perhaps, but thats about it.

    • Nobody on the huddle is saying we have an elite group offensively across the board. They aren't great. They're young. If you are expecting someone to agree with your position of blaming everyone around Bryce Young nearly three full seasons into his career you are going to be left holding the bag save for a handful of people who act like they are paid to defend his honor. Bryce Young is not a guy who has had to claw and fight his way into starting jobs in football. He's had the best to work with and been gifted roles since he was a teenager. The Panthers have one of the youngest rosters in the league and with us needing an infusion of young defensive talent in the upcoming draft we're only going to get younger. We need a QB who possesses the ability to elevate those around him. If you can't agree with me on that then there's nothing further to discuss.
    • All Bryce and the Panthers had to do was split with the Saints and a rookie QB. The bar was so low. They even had a whole bye week to prepare. The time for singing kumbaya was before that game. Anyone still talking about Bryce earning a second contract 43 games into his career is living a fantasy. He might get one from the Tepper owned Panthers but he's damn sure not earned it.
