Throwing down the gauntlet, at #25 I want one of these three guys

I believe both fisher and strong are in the 20-40 range. Fisher had the most impressive combine for nearly anyone and his pro day was even better. I don't put much stock in either, but both where flawless.

Strong- I didn't see how he'd get pass the chiefs @18, but now the wrist its questionable. He needs to go back to indy to disspell the rumor.

Preston smith is a guy that i havnt done my checks and balances on, so I'll reverse comment on him.

Don't want Strong or any other WR outside the top 3 in the first round.

Don't mind Fisher, but would prefer Flowers, if available.

Preston Smith would be a good pick. Him or Arik Armstead are my top 2 defensive lineman that may be available at 25.

Right now it is looking like Strong goes from 15-28

The other two are mid second rounders

Back in Feb, my mock had Strong in 1st, Cedric in the 2nd and Smith in the 3rd.  Smith has since moved way up draft boards

Could be Strong, Smith, and a RB as our top 3

But I love Strong

Jaelen Strong, Jake Fisher, or Preston Smith

I don't care what people say about Strong and lack of separation or whatever.  When I see this guy play, I just see a football player that makes fuging plays.  Proehl can help him clean up his route running, but you can't teach his physicality and hands.  I really like Devante Parker too, but I'm working under the assumption that he won't be there at #25.

IMO, Fisher has the highest upside of any OT in the draft other than Ogbuehi.  I'd have Ogbuehi here if it wasn't for the ACL.  Fisher has elite movement skills for a big man and Oregon's OL absolutely fell apart in the games he missed.  He's the real deal.  Day one starter at LT.  I could warm up to Ereck Flowers, but I prefer Fisher.

I don't care that people say Smith isn't a 1st rounder.  He's the best all-around 4-3 DE in this draft.  He has the ability to play anywhere along the DL in a 4-3 and we all know how Gettleman loves that ability.  The guy is relentless.  I think Dave will love the guy.  No second name mentioned here.  If we go defense, this is the guy I want.

Why not Ogbuehi?  I know he has an injury but he's young and its really worth the gamble.  He is a sure first round talent, and we can afford to let him sit until we figure out Oher is not the guy.   He will not be around for our pick in the second, if he even makes it to the second.

If it wasn't for the ACL I'd be all about it.  ACLs are still scary and 1st round picks are tremendously valuable.  If his knee checks out, I think it's still an outside chance we could take him at #25.

If you take a look at my thread where I broke down the OTs, you'll see that I say he'd probably be the #1 OT in the class if he hadn't torn his ACL.

I don't want him anywhere near the Sacred Drum.

Just to clarify: in my head, he's being swung like a drumstick and his head is being used to sound the drum.  He has no active, cognizant participation other than his head being beaten.

In this way, he will learn what it was like to watch him "play" for so many ineffectual games.

    • The league would protect him.  The amount of poo Jerry Jones has had exposed and got away with?  The amount of poo Stephen Ross has got away with?  How long Dan Snyder got away with essentially fuging sex trafficking employees and poo???????  Taking down JR was a hit job.  You think the other 31 owners, especially the older ones aren’t blathering, blatant, ignorant ass, bigoted rich racists who have committed far worse things than Blue Jean Fridays?  The ones I named above have DEFINITELY did worse than what JR was accused of.  And do you think guys like Steve Smith would’ve been viewing him as a father figure if they felt that’s who he was?  JR pissed the league off with that last lockout situation and they made him pay.  They lined a new guy up to join their billionaire boys club in Tepper, and they prolly slid a pretty penny to Jonathan Jones to write the “expose,” to get JR out of here.  Again, all the owners I’ve listed above have been verified on record for doing worse poo, yet they’re still running their organizations, unquestioned.  They hand-picked Tepper long before JR was forced out, so he isn’t going anywhere.  Sadly.  fug the NFL.  (Also, to be clear, it’s always fug racism, bigotry, and sexual exploitation - not ever excusing it.  Just making the point that the NFL isn’t operating under this clear standard of justice applied to each and every case)
    • I was still in the throes of a contentious divorce and my job at the time had me work on Sundays.  At the beginning of the season I tried to still work around Sundays so I could see our games.  I think after Bryce came back from the benching, I said fug it.  First time in my life I intentionally didn’t watch our games, even through the Atlanta finale.  In the past, even if we didn’t live up to expectations, I would watch to still support and at least analyze player development, strengths and weaknesses, coaching, etc., but Bryce makes all of that a moot point, so I stopped watching. Again, this is asinine,  it if he is retained (still can’t believe this is even a possibility of a conversation due to how shitty our organization has become under Tepper), I will NOT watch next season until he is gone.
    • Live look at Bryce playing ping pong.
