The chosen one is returning to the NFL

Religion has always historically been controversial. That is one reason why he gets media attention because he is so open about it.

I personally believe the media loves to keep him around because he is a christian role model in sports, and he is a human being that, like all of us, makes mistakes...

They are waiting for a big mistake; a moment of moral weakness, to break a career making story.

The media loves failure...because the viewers love seeing successful people fail.

Imagine, "The Golden Calf of Bristol arrested for soliciting a prostitute!"

Something like that would generate clicks/views which = $$$

I think the controversy is how terrible he is. As an atheist, I could care less what his religious beliefs are, the man simply cannot play QB in the NFL. Yet when I say that, I am suddenly against him because of his faith and how open he is about it.

It does however annoy me the shitstorm and controversy that surrounds a third string QB and the fact that I can't hear anything NFL related this week without hearing the clown's name.

For the same reason this is the hottest current topic on a Carolina Panther message board and 12 pages long. People just can't stop talking about him. They wouldn't be showing it if people didn't care. The media is just feeding people what they want.

My question is still why

    • Been here since middle school right when it started around 2003 after the charlotte.com one. Living outside of Carolina it was tough to find good Panthers content, news or analysis. And no one to talk to about it. This place gave me a lot though I don’t often post. In the later days, I particularly Loved PhillyB’s write ups. They were fire. Too bad I go let it go. I appreciate the hell out of @MHS831 @TheSpecialJuan @Jackie Lee and others who have been posting great content and keeping this place worth coming back to. Particularly during the offseason. Appreciate y’all!
    • Nice explanation, but I was just messing with you. Thought that would be obvious. I dont have the energy to keep on trolling. Last season I compared our situation with Bryce as a potential Alex Smith, but what we should be looking for is our version of Mahomes. Some people will read that as one sentence, to me that single sentence is equivalent to a half A4 explanationf of the teams pathway forward.
    • I dont know how much of his salary would come across and how much a trade would cost but I feel Kmet would be the sort of TE Canales and Morgan would like
