Why we should draft Dorial Green-Beckham

"You talkin' about weed? We talkin' about weed?!...Come on man!"

not gonna quote the rest.

I dont see KB as a #1, I mean, he can certainly cut it, regarding the roster, but I would much rather see him as a Moose #2 who is a dangerous possession receiver and a deadly red zone threat.

DGB is one of the few receivers that could be available to us at #25 who could possibly supplant KB as our #1.

I mean, Cam with thise 2 and Olsen?! Fuggetaboutit...if Cam has to run, he's gonna have no problem getting big gains with thise 3 and a healthy RB + a slant receiver helping to clear out another lane.

Get it done...everybody deserves a second chance, and adding another super-sized, comic-book real-life human and freak athlete sounds mighty-nice.

Name another team that has 4 offensive playmakers 6'4+ and over 230 that even have a shot at having the ball in their hands on any given possession. srsly

DGB, KB and Olsen would be a hell of a trio.

If the interior OLine and Remmers continue to play well like they did at the end of the season, and Oher comes in and locks down the LT spot then that'd be a hell of a offense. Possibly top 5 (someone just needs to kidnap Shula).

Seriously doubt it, dude.

And while I hate the Cowboys as much as anyone, I have to say a prospect refusing to meet with any team that's interested in him would be a huge red flag for me.

Honestly there have been players that outwardly opposed going to teams so really not all that big of a deal. Remember Eli was drafted by the Bolts.

Before their most recent episodes, people wanted us to trade high picks for them.

We've got some folks on here that are more obsessed with 'bad boys' than teenage girls. Every time some yahoo gets in trouble or gets suspended, they're on here in a heartbeat ready to go after him.

Heck, we had people who wanted Titus Young, for pete's sake

I think there are many of us that are of the mind you don't win wars with choir boys. And while im not saying wver red flagged yahoo is worth a risk...players who wouldn't be available to you if "issues" didn't pop up are how good teams get bargains. Rams with jenoris Jenkins cowboys with dez. List goes on.

Now if our locker room anf front office is really as great as we all believe it is why not use it to help change some talented but troubled young mans life? If you have a strying family oriented locker room don't mare it some smug country club where only the good ole boys get in. Use it to create a foundation of leadership guidance to these young players. Everyone isn't rae carruth. Now if you can get a wr would is arguably the best in the draft at 25 because he got into a fight with his gf and smoked a few joints... why not look into it.

So we can give steve smith a bajillion chances as a grown, multimillionaire adult (who never improved his attitude) but there is ZERO chance of us even considering a guy who made some bad decisions in his early college and has ACTUALLY shown significant improvement?

I remember a certain uber-athletic laptop thief with character concerns all over the place.  You sit down with him, you talk, you try to do your best to see what kind of person they want to become.  You talk with their coaches, teammates and family and see what the prospect has been doing to set things straight.

If we pass on DGB because he seems like a lost cause that won't get his head on perfectly straight, that is perfectly fine.  Not doing him his due diligence seems a bit silly to me though.

Just watched the short documentary nfl posted about him. He seems like he understands that he messed up . Just wish jerry would give him a chance if hes there at 25.

Just picture kelvin and dgb on the outside and having a speed guy in the slot along with olsen. Who would stop us?

I like they way you are thinking but I wouldn't place too much hope in Oher. We still need tackle help.

Dave Gettleman values pass rushers over seemingly everything else in life and he just let a proven elite NFL pass rusher walk due to off field concerns. Y'all really thing he's going to spend a high draft pick on a WR who has significant off field concerns and is a pure potential pick? Yes, DGB is just potential, that's it. The guy has less than 1300 total receiving yards in college. That isn't proven production, that's potential. Next Calvin Johnson or Randy Moss? Please. Randy Moss had over 1800 receiving yards and 26 receiving TDs - yes, 26! - in his one season at Marshall. Calvin Johnson racked up just shy of 3000 receiving yards in 3 years at GT while playing a damn triple option offense. He had 1202 receiving yards his final season accounting for over half of GT's total receiving yardage.
