I know the point your making but Speeding tickets are not the reason charlotte road/projects are behind.

Yeah lets not blame our state government for having the highest state tax on gas in the south east yet its 2015 and i-485 is still not done on north side (I remember being in high school at North Meck in 2004 and told that 485 next to it was suppose to be done early 2000's) and they want to build a toll instead of widening I-77.

But sure, that $300 ticket is to blame

I think the fine for improper equipment is actually higher. Mine was. Lawyer Sarah handled it.

But yeah, while I haven't had a ticket in a couple decades, my wife should have a lawyer on retainer for all the tickets she's gotten. Pick one of those lawyers...

Always fight it. The tickets as is will affect your insurance and poo for years.

Most likely they only wrote him for 14 to hook him up and not make it a mandatory court appearance ( 15 mph and over is mandatory ). The ticket should have a measured speed and a speed actually charged.

Get a copy of your driving record for the last 3 years.

 

Show up to court early on your court date and get in line to see the magistrate.

 

The magistrate will lower your offense to 9 over rather than 14.  No Points.

 

This is exactly what happened to me.  Magistrate simply stamped my ticket and sent me to the cashier.

 

When I got my ticket the cop took 3 minutes writing me up then 10 minutes telling me what to do to get it reduced.
