Peter King's 1st round predictions

Best route runner outside of Cooper in the draft, consistently a hands catcher that can get up and pluck the ball, enough speed to get vertical and win over the top, willing blocker, some wiggle after the catch, can play outside and in the slot, high character player that wins with preparation, big time punt returner and long-time solution there once Ginn is done.

Name 5 better.

Pessimistic view....A rookie hasn't proven anything, KB led the league in drops last year, Ginn has never done anything at WR other than his one season here where he was decent, and Brown has less than 300 yards last year.

Optimistic view... KB was a 1000 yard rookie, we'd be adding another 1st rounder to the mix, Ginn is a proven deep threat in our offense, and Brown showed promise.

Even with the most optimistic viewpoint possible, I wouldn't expect our WR corps to be a top 5 NFL WR corps next year.  Maybe with the right addition we can be a year or two down the road, but starting WRs who are in their 2nd year and rookie year aren't going to lead to a top 5 NFL WR corps.

    • You must be one of these "one move away guys."
    • ESPN has a whole is just hot takes and the dumbest takes possible. That is why it sucks so badly. They intentionally drag everything down to a lightspeed retarded level so that it is unwatchable. No jounalism, no nuance, no in depth analysis....just idiot after idiot blabbering/shouting about some hot button issue that they really have no real strong opinions about until the camera is rolling.
    • Young is the overwhelming priority. We have ample time on them and it's far easier to pivot at WR than QB. Remember that 2026 is year 4 for Bryce. That is 5th year option decision time and also the prime time to attempt to regain resources if a pivot is made. The odds of gaining any assets in a trade afterwards plumment very rapidly(all this depending on performance, obviously). At the end of that cycle, now we are likely in a $45+ million territory for him to remain.  So that decision trumps all others by a mile when it comes to personnel.
