General Draft Rumors and Chatter

Mr. Scot

I'd be shocked if the Saints took a QB in the 1st.  Brees is still a top flight QB and you'd think they'd still be in all-in mode to try to get the most of his remaining years.  It's a lot different than when the Packers took Rodgers.  They were drafting toward the back of the 1st in that draft, not in the top 10.  Plus, you gotta assume both Winston and Mariota will be gone by the time they're on the clock and is there another QB in this draft worthy of a top 10 pick or even close to that?

hes not a suspect, he just knew the deceased.  cops are just looking for clues, maybe names of other people he could give them.  He may fall but NFL teams have done their homework on this kid.

IMO, the HUGE red flag is that as far as I know he still hasn't met with the police and the police have no clue where he is.  I would think that if he thought he could go in there and quickly get this thing cleared up and his name officially cleared, he would've been down there ASAP.  He had enough time to get down there and talk to them before the draft.

Nope, let the huddle criminal justice experts tell it... Guys get questioned for murder everyday! Just a part of the average huddler's life apparently, lol.

Like I said before, it's the same way things started with Carruth and Hernandez, and so many unknown and unnamed cases. And if you were not a suspect, with nothing to hide, and already have an attorney under your employ, why has it taken him this long to even contact them and set something up? Unless of course you had to take care of some other things...

The Titans could seriously milk an insane deal from it.

Please Eagles shoot yourselves in the foot and suck ass for the next decade.

To move up from where they are to #2, they are going to mortgage their future like no other team had ever done before... Then again, if Mariotta works out, it won't matter, they'll just probably be without a first rounder for the next 5 years lol.

Yeah, but thats the rub.  MM isn't some kind of generational talent.  He's a guy that is a big question mark as far as ever turning out to be worth giving up a ton of picks and mortgaging your teams future for years is concerned.  Having said that, I would love the Eagles to put all their chips on the table to get him because the odds are he won't end up being worth it and they will morph into the Redskins right before our eyes.  Any time a potential condender in the NFC dramatically overpays an AFC team for what could be a whole lot of nothing it helps our chances, IMO.

Yeah, I hate every team that would interfere with our success, but I do think Mariotta is a good kid and I like Chip Kelly as a coach/football mind... I honestly think Mariotta's best chance at success is with Chip, so I like the all or nothing approach from Kelly if he wants him.
