well the two largest doughnut chains have potato-level spelling issues. if one sees it spelled incorrectly enough, one picks up on it.

I gave up doughnuts many years ago but I remember the Krispy King Hot Doughnuts Now sign at one of the flagship locations on Independence near Hawthorne and 7th. (in Charlotte)  This was in the late 70's and they were fresh and hot.

Between pie v cake discussions around here and this very robust debate about doughnuts, I'm surprised more of you are not diabetic. The real crime is that we will never know for sure if cheesecake is a pie, a torte or cake.

It isn't just about taste.  Line up KK, Dunkin, Sheetz, Britts, etc. and honestly tell me that one or two aren't better than the others, and I'll call you crazy.  dunkin and sheetz are dense and like bricks compared to KK and Britts.  KK is the best IMO cuz its light.  Britts is good too, but they don't have much of a shelf life.  Not that they need it since their customers tend to eat a baker's dozen at a time.

I don't care what you say. The best glazed donut is a hot to go Krispy Creme still warm. You can scrunch it up and pop the whole thing in your mouth in one bite. It is amazing.
