Talented yes overrated yes looking at garbage time which honestly doesn't count other than boosting your stats is when he got most of his yardage and scores against mediocre teams mind you once Cruz is back those numbers will deflate and the competition will bring him down to earth he's good but I still think we had offensive rookie of the year who had multiple highlight reel catches

Ehh. He is a great player sure, but on the cover after 1 year in the NFL? I think that is reaching. OBJ is good,there are many players out there just as good, he got the majority vote because of that one Acrobatic play. When you mention OBJ, that is all people can remember was that one play. That dosnt mean he didnt play other games just as good.

Cam was #2 in voting after his rookie year, wasn't he? How is this so far fetched?

Objs season was unreal and the Catch was just icing on the cake. Jawny, myself and very few others were calling this type of production, playmaking ability in the draft section last year. I wanted him over Watkins if that scenario ever matriculated.

Obj will go down as one of the greatest if he can stay healthy

I actually quite like Odell Beckham, I'm just not stupid or deluded enough to believe that the burning coal pushing the hype train along comes from his performance

Unless you care how it's irrelevant in the face of every other player equally/more deserving not making the cover then by all means lol

I can't believe I'm having to post OBJs highlights to explain to any NFL fan why analysts think he could be a future HOFer after his rookie year.

Yes the catch helped make him a household name so casual fans know who he is. But anyone with an NFL brain should be able to see how talented this guy is.

I would go as far as to say if I could choose any NFL player on the Panthers it would be Rodgers, Watt or OBJ.

      I just don't understand how we want a third year QB to "ball out" with a rookie WR as his #1, a rookie TE as his #1 TE, 2 sophomore WRs (one is a 1st rounder that is being outplayed by the other who is an UDFA), a sophomore TE that struggles with blocking, and Tommy Tremble.  And all of that with what's now a 2nd year HC, who's calling plays for his third time - ever! This is a super young team that is outperforming expectations right now. The Panthers are winning games against better teams and the QB is a big reason why. You have to give Bryce, TMac, Legette, Coker, Evans, Sanders and Canales time.  Otherwise we could just be the Browns or the Jets. No one wants that anymore. If they were going backwards, then yes, blow it up again. They aren't. They're getting better. They look like an actual competent NFL team. They're wildly inconsistent because they're incredibly young and inexperienced. All of them. Not just Bryce. But they're arrow is pointing up, so we should be patient and ride it out. It could be alot worse. A lot worse.

      I think Bryce gets the 5th year option picked up, but I do not think that means the team doesn't pursue an upgrade at the QB position through the draft or free agency.
