He had lunch today with Felicia Sanders (and members of her family), the mother of 26-year old Tywanza Sanders, a poet who died after trying to save his aunt, who was also killed.

The lunch was kept very quiet and away from the media.

That's OUR quarterback.  Great player, even better person.  While unfortunate, tragedy like what we saw last week often brings out the best on  people in the aftermath.  We should all keep the spirit of goodwill flowing from Charleston and spread it throughout the Carolina's and the nation.  Take something that was pure evil, turn it back, and makes things better.

The Panthers could have "ignored" the situation completely, since many people don't really consider SC Panther nation, but kudos to Cam and JR for stepping up to the plate here. Its really nice to know our team is full of decent human beings, especially in this day and age.

      It’ll be interesting to see how the board falls I completely agree with you on TE for us The safety from Oregon would be the cherry on top for Evero’s defense/scheme.  If a OL’men is there that you love it would be very hard to pass up. This fan base seems to just see Walker as a stop gap but I wouldn’t be so sure. He’s the same age as Ekwonu. He’s had a much more impressive career arc/progression than Icky has. He’s the better pass protector. As far as I see it if Walker has a good year I’d bring him back over Icky. Ekwonu isn’t some elite franchise LT. Playing next to Lewis is going to be great for Walker much like it has been for Icky. We definitely need to get younger/cheaper on the OL though so for this reason alone it’s still top of my list come round 1 if board falls this way  Could also use another corner with Mike Jackson’s deal up after this season and needing a nickel but Corey Thornton looked really good in that role in the limited time we got to see him. However he’s coming off an achillies injury and you never know with those.  Then as mentioned above we do still have a need at WR. As far as “weapons” go it’s kind of a 2 man show with Tmac and Coker and neither is a burner. If Jordan Tyson is there at 19 and we can have a young WR group locked up for cheap that’s a huge advantage cap wise  And don’t forget linebacker. That clip in Devin’s Lloyd blueprint they used from Evero saying they need more intelligence there could’ve been left out for Wallace’s sake but it’s true. Wallace is lost in coverage. Pair a smart linebacker with Lloyd and that’s a group with Wallace and Cherelus being depth

      Not always. LT was for the Giants. So was Ray Lewis. Von Miller was moreso than Manning his final year in the season that shall not be named. It's usually the QB, but not always.
