Funchess interview in The Detroit News

Homer glasses off man, Olsen is the only thing we have over them in the receiver department. It's not Evan's fault that no one could get him the ball last year. Dude is a legit and complete receiver.

Gotta ask.  How is comparing Evans and KB a wash, Jackson gets the veteran nod over the Rookie Funchess and Olsen better than whatshisname being a homer?

As stated already, KB saw more of the top DBs and still had an equally impressive season.  You make a effort to point out that they didn't have a QB.  Tampa thought they did.  In fact he brought him with him from Chicago saying how they were going to duplicate Marshall and Jefferies in Chicago.

If you ask me,I would have rated KB over Evans   (wait for it......wait for it......here it comes........aaaah there it is HOMER)

Evans also wasn't facing every teams  best  DB from the  start till the end of the season and also didn't see none of the double teams and rolled coverage that  Kb did..

Yeah, this is one big detail that everyone seems to overlook for whatever reason.  KB was getting gameplanned against before the start of the season.  Everyone knew he was our only potential threat at WR, and then they seen him go off in preseason... and that was that.  He was treated like a true #1 from the first snap of his career.  He still produced.

How many rookie WRs in the history of the NFL can you say that about?  Evans finally goes off at the midpoint of the season after being rather pedestrian (one of which was the Redskins, one of the worst secondary's in the league), finally starts getting a little bit more attention from defenses, and goes back to his 40 YPG average.

I mean he's a good receiver, don't get me wrong, and he just may be better than KB.  But it annoys me when people act like it's some sure thing.  It's a hell of a lot closer than people think.

Some people just don't know what or realize the actual game planning they are seeing on a play basis..

You know, I dont like Devin Funchess.

I REALLY HATE THIS MAN!

I am now going to have to buy Madden and play it. I am willing to give evil people money because 10 years ago. . . playing with a QB like Cam and 2 6'5 wideouts wouldve taken to much time to generate and too much luck. (+ Olsen, lol)

WI  are to believe Evans wasn't game planned against.

That's right folks. He was allowed to run free and build up all those great rookie stats cause coaches didn't game plan for him.

I think  somebody in this same thread already mention the difference..  Kb was treated like the number 1 form day 1.. Evans got the Kb treatment during the middle of the season..
