Not only that, but it's our home turf.  GMan I trust.  But would we be willing to give up a second day pick?  My gut says no, and that's what it's probably gonna take.

I dont recall us ever even being aware of a supplemental draft except for when that Browns WR was available and all the tards said "GIT HEEM!!!"  (Josh something or other, I dont even care)

Even if Oher proves to be serviceable, he is 29 years old.  Can this kid play LT?  Could be worth it just to groom him to take over in a year or two.

This is as dead of a time of the year as NFL front offices have.  They might as well go see the kid work out.  With that said, evidently the off field concerns are major and on the field the kid only weighs in the mid-270s.  He's a project in the NFL and most NFL teams don't like projects that also bring significant baggage.  I'd be shocked if he ends up a Panther.

Won't get my hopes up that we get him,  but I'm definitely for adding talent.

The answer is...  they haven't.

But we did draft Bill Goldberg in the expansion draft of 1995.

I imagine that someone is going to put up a pick much higher than we are willing to part with and all this speculation will be pointless.

 

Personally, I would take a flier on him for a 5th rounder. But I highly doubt that will be enough to land him.

I don't think we touch him but if we do.  I would not put anything higher than a 5th round pick.  If he falls that far take him.  Otherwise any pick higher would be a waste.   I don't think his off the field issues are worth the shot.

Strongly disagree.  It would be beyond stupid not to give up something for a guy with real LT experience, rated as high as #2 for the 2016 class this offseason at our position of greatest need.  But the difference between a 2nd and a 7th is obviously huge and the waters between risk/reward get very muddy for a prospect we may not know everything about.
