Holy Frijoles! The 2015 Sporting News Pro Football prediction issue

Where is all this coming from? Hate Drew but he led the freakin' league in passing yards last year.

Just saying that I respect our competition. Everyone looks at last year's standings and forgets that the NFCS had two teams with 11 or more wins in 2013, and has pretty consistently put two teams in the playoffs over the past few years.

I won't be surprised at all if NO or ATL squeeze out 9 or 10 wins this year. If Stew goes down in week 5, we're looking at 7-9 again.

Many of Brees passes were isolated and compared with passes from previous seasons on the NFL Network. It was obvious to the NFL annalist and anyone with eyes that Brees' arm was noticeably weaker. He has lost a good deal of velocity on his passes, and that will lead to him throwing more interceptions. To counter this problem the Saints retooled their offense to be more run oriented (so noodle arm throws the ball less). They'll be running the ball more right into the heart of our best players, Luke, well I don't need to name them, but we've got them right where we want them now.

was excited until I saw this guy had 3 teams from the NFC East making the playoffs and the 3rd seeded team from there taking us out in the playoffs.

Yep. To me, it seems like he really likes Cam (says he'll make the contract look like a bargain), likes Luke, but is unsure about the rest of the pieces. That's not what I see, but it's a fairer assessment that 99% of the media gives us.

I have to confess an ugly discovery I just made today.

The guy who did the write-up on the Panthers in the Sporting News pre-season issue is...
