Rivera On RB Cuts

I don't think they will cut Tolbert. Likely talking about Fozzy.

I realize this means very little but Tolbert was featured on one of the seasons game tickets that psl holders get. Hard to imagine them cutting a guy they deemed worthy enough to put on the ticket along with nine other core members.

I can 100% promise you Gettleman won't make this decision based on the game tickets.

I doubt that will play into his mind when making roster decisions considering he cut the best player and face of the franchise with years remaining on his contract.

First of all I dont see 3 running backs staying healthy for an entire NFL season keeping pace in every single game..

Stew, Cap, Weg...? I love Ward but Tolbert seems to have a certain soul to this team.. I can't put any cuts past DG though. Its hard to say Ill be shocked when someone gets cut and picked up quickly by someone else

Look, when Tolbert was playing last season we were 7-3. We were 1-6-1 when he was out. There is no way we are cutting him. If we did that, we'd have to keep someone else as a blocker, which negates the benefit of keeping him, because we'd have to carry two people to replace one. In all likelihood he's talking about Fozzy, and maybe Richie Brockel.

    • I dont think people realize how hard it is to find a consistent starting QB in the NFL. Byrce will not heart us to a SB but I do think he can manage to get us one or close..go all in on defense and change the Offensive passing game and play calls. I really think our biggest problem is our HC.  Take New Orleans QB for example, switch him and Bryce and I promise you it'll look similar or worse. New Orleans OC is levels ahead of Canales. And as far as the draft goes, in this division with as much rb talent as we face ..the answer...this guy:    Pick up a couple edge rushers in FA along with a corner and plug this guy in Rozeboom's spot. Defense solved. But only if we get a top tier rusher on that dline....jus saying
    • I think I'm going to the game in Los Angeles vs Paraguay, and the England / Croatia game here in Dallas since my mom is British.  For decent seats anywhere in the building(s) it looks like it will be upwards of $7k for the two games.  Insane. Just for perspective, you could buy field level EPL tickets for any one of the top sides in the league, and it would be 10% of the price you'll pay for crappy seats at the World Cup.
    • Meh… I knew this thread would turn into a Bryce/Tua comparison, when they couldn’t be further apart situations.   Dolphins catered there whole offense toward Tua, they brought in a coach that would run a Tua friendly offense, the went in got the best most explosive WR in the NFL and paired him the fastest WR in that years draft. Panthers have done the opposite, they went and got a Pete Carroll disciple who likes to run the ball under center, they drafted big slow WR who got little separation in college. Literally the polar opposite of Bryce’s scouting report coming out of Alabama.   Tua was a decent QB 2 years ago, but the concussions, lack of movement have caught up to him. He never had a great arm to begin with but now since he doesn’t want to get hit he’s taking the whole offense down with him.
