The absolute most heartbreaking thing about our WR situation..

Is we finally might just have the best pass protecting O line in the league (if the last two pre season games against two of the best D lines in the league is any indication of things to come and that level of play carries over)

and yet we dont have the WRs now to take full advantage of our O line, I will be completely honest. I dont know which is worse, having such a good O line to tease us and no WRs to take advantage of the time Cam has now in the pocket, or having a bad O line with no WRs because you could atleast take some solace in knowing that good WRs wouldnt have mattered anyway with our bad O line.

Its going to be so so painful to finally watching Cam have the space and time in the pocket of Manning or Brady but our WRs drop catch after catch.

Yeah I agree with Thomas on this one that title would go to Dallas.   But still I get his point its better than last years "SO FAR".  I still think where gonna be ok.   Funchess, olsen, brown, ginn bersin will probally make the team again now.  theres really no good options out there right now either. Welker would be about the best but we have slot receivers.  We need a big body guy.

i agree with panthers united on this one . our olines looking great but our wr core is killing our offense its like we went in a 180 our wr core was pretty decent last year and oline sucked now olines good and wr core sucks . we need to shuffle the deck and work players like byrd , boyking and hell even bersin in the starting line ups and see how they do.

    • Trade up for a project was dumb, he's gonna be 25 next month. By the time you're deciding on whether he's worth the 5th year option or a big contract you're already gonna be thinking about moving on soon either way.
    • I mean this is legit AF statement....you don't spend that draft capital on a project just like you don't trade up for an injured RB either, which was done in the same draft.  That draft IMO was a necessary evil for DM to learn from his mistakes (I think he did but some may not). Also I have to mention I'm a big Coker fan and think getting him as an UDFA was obv a steal.  Coker is the better WR2 at this point as Legette and its not even debatable unfortunately.  Give him year 3 but don't expect much from him.  Continue in the offseason with adding as much talent and competition on the roster as possible including WR.  Or just trade his ass for peanuts and continue to build roster by any means.......
    • Losing him was a huge loss. Look at how the Bears went from a 5 win team to now a 11 win team. The Lions offensive line is bad this year, secondary is bad and Campbell going for it on 4th down all the time has cost them games instead of taking the Field Goals. Goff is inconsistent as well.
