People love crapping all over him and treating him like Everette Brown, but the kid stepped up last night. 

Against a pretty solid LT in Solder as well. 

He got after Brady and played the run well. Proud of the guy and look forward to his play this season.

After the subpar at best reports about him coming out of camp, his actual preseason play has been a pleasant surprise.

last 2 games .. 1 sack each. A sack per game wouldnt be a bad thing in the regular season and it would end up making him a lot of money.

He was left unblocked with his sack, but he was able to track down the QB. 

 

I like what ive seen from him so far. But, we must be reminded its not his talent or flashes that are the concern, its his consistency.

we had a first round grade on him.  I know it takes time for DE's and OT's to adapt, but I'm still hoping for much more improvement, quickly.

If you watch him on the sack last night you see the talent, watch the next play too.

 

The LT takes him inside and makes Brady slide to his left, Ealy then does a spin move and winds up right in front of Brady and forces an early and bad throw.

 

He's a keeper, just has to keep working on his strength.

It takes time. Very rarely do DEs explode onto the scene. He is a first round TALENT. we know the talent is there. Just needs consistency. That improves with expirience and reps.

Agree that the biggest knock on him coming in was consistency and has plagued him thus far. Dude wasn't expected to take over immediately, so I'm pleasantly content with his learning curve. I think a 10 sack season is doable, but I think his ability to disrupt is going to create more opportunities for this D, that can't be expressed on an individual's stat sheet.

DEs take time too develope it is super rare to be dominate right off the bat. Hardy took 3 years and Kony looks to be on track too. Maybe we will get lucky and he will develope ealy.....ha ha ha ha
