Just wanted to give the man-child a shoutout, 'cause he showed out last night. He's already busting through double teams at runs and screens aimed at targeting his side of the field.

Love the way he swarms and I swear he's bigger, faster and stronger than both Luke and TD. Didn't get to see him much in coverage as it was our CBs being targeted diwnfield.

There aren't going to be many rushers making it past that second level and I believe Shaqu was a big part of Luke getting 3 tackles for loss or no gain.

The youngster has tree trunks for arms and legs, he's a physical specimen and an oddity (I say that in a good way.) unbelievable he covers so well.

His is physicality adds so much to an already physically imposing front 7. The guy can pass rush as an outside DE, cover, attack the ball on the line and attacks the ball carrier or takes out lead blockers at the LOS.

I thought he played great especially when he is attacking. I did notice on two runs, he seemed to be waiting for the RB and then whiffed on two tackles. I am not nitpicking just noticing where he can improve. I think he will be a great addition for us.

yeah, he gets jukes sometimes, but it's usually at the line and our safeties are doing a great job of swarming when a rusher gets past that initial push.

TD was the hardest hitter I've ever seen play for the Panthers. In his prime he hit someone so hard one night I thought he was dead. He had to go to the ER. I think it was a special teams play, but it's been a long time. TD would almost murder players. He doesn't hit like that now, but in his prime good lord. Shaq doesn't hit like that, but I love his violent tackles as well.

    • Y’all don’t understand football and weather. The interception got hung in the wind, it’s was a 20+ yard pass into the wind (same as Love’s Int.). So any passes this game needed to be less than 20 yds. We adjusted to that quick. The quick short passes is what helped us win. hell of a coaching call. Our coaches were on their A game.
    • Apparently the extension he signed before the season was also a little weird, as it had a very low signing bonus. So the Jets have a very small dead cap hit despite trading a big contract that was signed just 2 months ago. I guess it was only a $13 million signing bonus, and trading him mid-season means it's something around only a $10 million dead cap hit left to take. This is a huge win for the Jets for a player I've long felt was overrated because of a great nickname and an amazing rookie season that he's then failed to fully live up to since them.  Combine that with everyone knowing the Colts seem more mirage then legit long term contender, that 2027 1st in particular could end up being a really good asset for the Jets.
