Former 1st round guy. Honestly it would not hurt one bit. I liked him coming out of college. Maybe a change of scenery is what he needs. 

I thought he went almost into the third round.

Local Kid, #1 Recruit, Potential top 5 pick in the loaded 2011 draft (the perhaps best defensive draft the past decade with Miller/Dareus/Peterson/Smith/Watt/Quinn/Kerrigan/Jordan/Houston/Sherman/Harris all Pro Bowlers) He's got size to play the Hardy Role (DE with some DT involved).. if he needs a change of scenery, he could be steal, if not he's out the door

Nobody ever mentions how this team is quick to jump on a defensive player, but any offensive player that could potentially help is deemed as not worth it. Now as a Clemson student id love Bowers and hate that I have to include him in my example, just saying.
