It's a good piece that illustrates how Cam has progressed as a passer. Definitely worth a read.

 

I went back and watched two of his 2013 games on tape to compare that version of Newton to this one. What I saw was a player who has a much better feel for running an NFL offense, a player with better mechanics with a better understanding of defenses.

They were talking about Cam for MVP on First Take today too. It's funny how the media goes from slamming him and dissecting every little movement to riding his jock in the blink of an eye.

Cam is basically turning into late nineties/early 2000s steve mcnair, where his stats don't measure up to the other guys but he just grits it the fug out and people respect him for it.

Let's hope things end better for Cam.
