The Negativity of Our Fans

Okay, I don't make threads ever. However, we just got our best win of the season, and I have seen more negative posts today than I have seen in a long time. Our defense got 5 turnovers, but according to some of the people on here we have to get  better to beat other teams. Yes, we don't have the flashy big time players on offense. Injuries happen, but winning organizations find ways to win. It doesn't have to be pretty, but I love how they grind it out and finish games. 3-4 years ago we couldn't finish any games. It just blows my mind and pisses me off that there is so much doom and gloom on this board after we just became 4-0 heading into a bye week where we will a lot of our guys healthy. No team is easy to beat in the NFL. Every team is loaded with talent. We don't have the offense that Atlanta has, but that's okay. We win them by playing Panthers football. Bye keep pounding.

In conclusion, if you want to be a negative pouty face, I suggest you take yourself somewhere else. I believe in my team, and so should you. Goodfreakingnight

I think we all recognize that we could be better and that we expect more out of some units.

However, the fact the some of us aren't satisfied with a 4-0 start is a testimony to the team Gettleman has built.

Every team has areas where they can all improve. That's how it is. Difference with this year, I trust our coaching to address those areas & the players to recognize them & want to improve. But I'm a fan; I don't need to improve, I'm perfect just as I am. :P

How can anyone not be satisfied with 4-0 after the 4th game of the season? It gets no better than that. And that we're not perfect makes it even sweeter.

It's because, as always, most Panthers fans care more about dumb poo like "respect" and "media attention" than wins. It's a small market mentality. They see Atlanta beating Houston 42-whatever and they think that somehow has something to do with us beating Tampa Bay on the road by 2 scores.

The  patriots have made a living for more than a decade against the likes of the Jets, Bills, Dolphins

Nobody gave them the 'yeah buts' in the media

It is true the Panthers have really no weapons but they compete and they should get credit for that  Rivera should play  that clip at the start of every game

All that said, they have to show up and win those big upcoming games and for the love of God, don't lose to the Eagles and Colts in horrible fashion again in prime time...especially on Thanksgiving day

    • OK, let me first say that I can't get any Twitter link to embed--using "X" or "Twitter" or whatever, and I'm tired of trying. Now, I must say that I see Panthers stuff in Facebook on occasion as I'm part of some group, but I see Panthers stuff even less on the cesspool that is now X, but as a follower of the official Panthers Twitter, stuff pops up on that feed too. I guess that I shouldn't be surprised that agents of the organization would be putting out tweets like this: He's not even trying to be objective. It stands to make sense though. In order to get better information, you have to go to national sources like Kurt Warner.  I'm not necessarily trying to pick on J-Stew, per se, but I can't take him seriously, as even some past Panthers players, like Greg Olsen for example, don't seem like they're just trying to cater to Panthers Nation, just saying hollow words to make everyone feel good.  I just wonder why here on the Carolina Huddle, there seems to be more objectivity, or at least more critical thinking and serious discussion than most other social media sources on the Panthers. It's interesting. There is a significant difference.  For all the changes and the seeming decline in popularity to whatever degree, the Carolina Huddle still has its place and plays a big part in overall Panthers fandom. We want to be happy, joyous and cheer for the Panthers, but we aren't necessarily trying to shoot sunshine up people's derrières either.
    • Us if we give Bryce a big contract. But worse since what we gave up.
