Hardy doing Hardy things

CRA

Recommended Posts

“I love seeing Tom Brady, he’s cool as crap,” Hardy said via the Dallas Morning News. “Have you seen his wife? I hope she comes to the game. I hope her sister comes to the game, all her friends come to the game. One of my favorite games of the year, guys.”

Hardy does run his mouth, but I'm not sure what the problem is...  doesn't seem offensive to me?

A guy who has been suspended for domestic abuse....first day back replying about a question about speaking out against domestic violence? His reply includes the  hotness of opposing players wives?  sister in laws? Context matters.  Joking about how hot certain wives are as a response to THAT question?

Reporters noted the absurdity and followed it up with asking Hardy if he was aware of how attractive other players wives are? Specifically Bortles'.  Hardy said "that kind of information was important.  That's how he selects he Pro Bowls".

is it offensive? Maybe not.  Completely weird and probably out of bounds given the circumstances and question? Yes.

Will Tom Brady do like he has done in the past and go off over it? I think so.  Brady also talks a lot....on the field.  Should be something to watch for IMO.  Brady always says things aren't s big deal and then jaws with the best of them.

Its a bit unfair but he's caused all the commotion, and you would think that he would have learned. Last year a coworker talked with Greg in line somewhere for a while and seemed to think that he really learned his lesson, but maybe not.

Lots of guys who 'learn their lesson' unlearn it when they go to a team like Dallas.

Hate to see anything bad happen to anyone, but he has got hold a season pass for riding on the Crazy Train. There's something off about him and I hate to say we probably haven't seen the last, or the worst, of it yet.

We'll be glad he's someone else's headache before the end of the year.

This is typical guy talk that is done in private, and when women are not within earshot. Women determine what is socially and publicly acceptable behavior in our society. In my opinion most women would find Hardy's comments to be offensive and (get ready for their favorite buzz word) inappropriate. Guys like Hardy are a nightmare for football teams concerned with pleasing the pc police, and keeping the media's negativity at bay.

Once the media catches on that Hardy's comments are causing a stir they will circle him like sharks circle blood in the water. The media will poke and prod Hardy to get him to elaborate on his offensive comments, and try to bait him into making more offensive comments. Why? Money of course. They need to stir the pot as much as possible to generate interest and ad revenue. $$$$. The reporters don't care in the slightest that Hardy is willing to publicly comment that a woman is hot. But they are ready and willing to pretend to be offended if that stirs up public interest. The pc social justice warriors are completely committed to helping the media turn a mole hill into a mountain for about one to two weeks, and then on to the next "offensive" story. If a woman does nothing with her life but look hot, and then someone comments that she's hot and he's looking forward to seeing her, then that's offensive in our bizarre society. The media knows exactly how to take this one little scrap of meat and make a big pot of soup out of it. Sure it's mostly just water, but the public is full of mostly ignorant sheep who are easy to manipulate.

Thank goodness Hardy is off this team. I truly hope we never have another player on our team who doesn't understand how to deal with the media. Hardy's answers to the media should be "yes", "no", "maybe", and "I'm looking forward to the game." He isn't intelligent enough to give any other kind of answer. He thinks he's being entertaining, and creating a name for himself. That's true. And when the media is done with him, and he retires, no one will hire him. He won't be working at ESPN, or anywhere in the public eye for that matter. He's got to shut his trap now.

Of course we all know how eccentric a personality Hardy is, but now I know why the judge convicted him during his trial.  He probably acted this same way in her courtroom, and thus found him guilty of doing something.  All this time I asked myself how the judge bought Holder's story with it's inconsistencies.  Yet now I know why she made the decision she did, even though given Hardy's punishment, I doubt the judge fully believed Holder's story. (Because if it were true, Hardy should have went to jail for at the very least, assault.)
