Would Luke have played today if we didn't have a bye?

Anybody know? I don't know how this works during a bye week. I haven't heard anyone say that he's been cleared yet, so am I to assume this would have kept him out yet again today? If we get him against Seattle, that early bye week everyone was bitching about may be the best thing to happen to this team all year.

I don't think he's been back to the independent doctor yet. If we were playing he probably would've gone back this past week but since we were on bye he didn't. So we can't really know. My gut says he would've been back, but who knows. He still could miss the Seahawks game.

This is true. I don't know what has been keeping Luke from passing, but if it's been headaches, a long ass flight from Charlotte to Seattle sure won't help that.

Currently I say 50/50 he plays against the Seahawks, 70/30 he is back by Philly, 80/20 Indy.. I say he makes his return against Green Bay

Based on the extensive time you've spent analyzing Luke's head in person? Jesus christ man just get the fug out of here.

I know everyone is different but Sean Lee went out against NO with a concussion and played this week. Norman got one & played the week after, it's just weird. I know concussions are serious but got damn it seems like something else is up. Hope he's ok though.

like any other injuries, there are different severities.

This coming from the guy who thought he might retire. Do your opinions on matters you know nothing about fluctuate wildly or is it just me?

According to reports, 3 weeks is the average for a linebacker. Now for you math majors out there, to get an average you add up all the numbers, then divide by how many numbers there are.  So, there could be LBs who've been out 6 weeks and some that came back the next week. Point is: nothing is up. There's no underlying injury. There's no pattern or trend, why? Because every human is different. There are so many factors that go into the decision to clear a player. The Panthers aren't "holding" him out. It's not up to them. When he's cleared by an independent doctor we'll know it AND THEN if the Panthers decide to hold I'm out or whatever, we'll know. There are rules in place to protect other teams against misusing the injury report, so the Panthers can't hold Luke out for a concussion if he's been cleared to play with no concussion symptoms.

Relax. He'll be back when he's cleared to play and he'll be "HANGRY!"

We ought to know by what, Wednesday or Thursday? Can we just hold off on the rampant speculation until we hear? Then we can all either celebrate or gnash our teeth in anguish.

he will visit the independent tomorrow, we will know if he is playing if he pratices tomorrow. Fingers crossed.

    • He has said many times hes a diehard Panther fan. Being a former player he is going to be very pro player. I don't think its a conspiracy but just someone close to the individuals.
    • Cant take him seriously because he likes Bryce sounds about right for around here
    • OK, let me first say that I can't get any Twitter link to embed--using "X" or "Twitter" or whatever, and I'm tired of trying. Now, I must say that I see Panthers stuff in Facebook on occasion as I'm part of some group, but I see Panthers stuff even less on the cesspool that is now X, but as a follower of the official Panthers Twitter, stuff pops up on that feed too. I guess that I shouldn't be surprised that agents of the organization would be putting out tweets like this: He's not even trying to be objective. It stands to make sense though. In order to get better information, you have to go to national sources like Kurt Warner.  I'm not necessarily trying to pick on J-Stew, per se, but I can't take him seriously, as even some past Panthers players, like Greg Olsen for example, don't seem like they're just trying to cater to Panthers Nation, just saying hollow words to make everyone feel good.  I just wonder why here on the Carolina Huddle, there seems to be more objectivity, or at least more critical thinking and serious discussion than most other social media sources on the Panthers. It's interesting. There is a significant difference.  For all the changes and the seeming decline in popularity to whatever degree, the Carolina Huddle still has its place and plays a big part in overall Panthers fandom. We want to be happy, joyous and cheer for the Panthers, but we aren't necessarily trying to shoot sunshine up people's derrières either.
