more of what the Hawks fans are saying

Panthers can't be afraid of the Hawks. It's going to be tough and physical match.

But They have to play their game. And if they see something deep or a mismatch (particularly on that other corner that was getting torched by the Bengals, and with or sans a gimpy Wagner), they have to go for it! They can't nickel and dime the hawks all game, if they see a mismatch, or separation with Philly or Ginn downfield.

I was recently at a buddies house with a large group of people and simply asked my friend what the score of the Atlanta vs Washington game was, this homer frat douche with his pink polo tucked into tan golf shorts topped off with loafers, interrupted my update with "the only number that matters is 12" and proceeded to show me his stupid 12th man background on his phone.....I responded with my typical "so where you from in Washington" lead in question: answer "nah bruh im from Raleigh I went to state." Thats all I needed I proceeded to embarrass him and his lack of knowledge when it came to anything Seattle pre Russell Wilson era, and actually had his girlfriend cracking up at his frustration! The only response he could muster was "we will see Sunday"

Absolutely the worst bandwagon franchise in modern historical record

Boom

Have to agree. Seattle just seems better in every way than Carolina. Carolina has played:
Jaguars
Texans
Saints
Bucs

I unfortunately think Seattle takes this one easily. However I hope you guys upset Seattle. I just don't see it.

I don't even see how the Panthers gain positive yardage in this one...that offense is bad.

On the flip side, Caroina's d should be able to shut down Seattle's offense too...especially if Keuchly plays up to his usual standard.

My bold prediction is there will be less than 350 yards of total offense in this game, Seattle will win 16-3. Doesn't really matter for the Rams who wins this game...I don't think Carolina is a good team, but they have the schedule to be in the playoff hunt all year. Either way it'll be an NFC loss to a team contending for the playoffs.

And while I hate Seattle, Carolina is still right there...

1. 2004 double OT playoff loss still stings

2. They used to be in the NFC West

3. The one season that Bradford looked pretty decent, they ended his season with a cheap hit while he was running out of bounds

4. Cam Newton is a dick

You have to know who you've played thus far vastly influences your rankings...

If the Panthers played the Rams schedule thus far I'm certain they'd be 2-3 at best...and I feel pretty confident that even the Niners would have a winning record with your schedule. Considering how the Redskins are looking, I believe they'd beat Carolina if the game was played in Washington...so maybe the Panthers would be 0-5 with our schedule...

After all, it could easily be argued that these first 4 games your team is worse than last year with Benjamin out and Kuechly out most of the games (although the OL has played better)...

How would the Panthers fare with the Rams schedule:

Seahawks at home - they own the Panthers, no reason to think they lose to them, even on the road

@Redskins - considering the Skins have been in every game except a road Thursday night game, and that they took the Falcons to OT, I think this is a toss up game - edge to Skins being at home

Steelers (w/ Ben for 2/3 of the game) - I believe it was last year that the Steelers wrecked the Panthers on Sunday Night Football...even in Carolina I'd see this one going the same way this season based on how these teams have looked

@Cardinals - Panthers would get decimated in Arizona right now

@Packers - see above

So yep, 0-5 with a tough schedule.

I'd probably feel really good about my team if I were you too...but at the end of the day, you haven't beaten anyone good. Until you do, your team wont' be getting respect from other teams fan bases.

Wilson has been sacked 22 times through 5 games so far.

Maybe trading away their best offensive lineman for a TE who doesn't block wasn't such a hot idea.

FWIW - the team was going to cut Unger.  The Saints just so happened to be willing to part with a major offensive weapon, and the infamous Super Bowl ending wasn't the first time our red zone offense failed to produce a TD.  That paired with the front office doing the NBA equivalent of shaving some cap room off by moving the 1st round pick.. and that's why you had that trade.

All that said, Graham will be a waste until Darrell Bevell pulls his head out of his backside and figures out how to use him.  For some reason he and Cable are hell bent on making him a blocker, which is absolutely INSANE.  And the real alarming thing in all of this is once again a really good weapon in the passing game is given to Bevell, and he has no clue on how to use him.  Percy Harvin was an asshat in the locker room, and that's the biggest reason why he was moved.. but given Bevell's play calling and designs, it's no wonder why he snapped.

Hell, further evidence with Golden Tate in 2014 shows that Bevell has no idea on how to utilize a weapon in the passing game.

So yeah, short of Marshawn Lynch carrying 27 people to the end zone or Wilson running around for his life and finding an open man after a DB can't cover for 10 seconds.. the offense is garbage and has been for the last several years.  Now with Marshawn banged up and possibly finally giving into age and the years of punishment, the offense looks even worse.

It's maddening.  It's alarming.  And it has already cost us one Super Bowl victory, and that window isn't staying open forever...

Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait...

Are you telling me the Saints traded their best offensive weapon away for a player that the Seahawks were planning to cut?

I need confirmation of this because if it's true, the resultant laughing fit could get me committed.

Yep.

http://mynorthwest.com/292/2814932/Hawk-Talk-highlights-Evaluating-Darrell-Bevell-revisiting-the-Max-UngerJimmy-Graham-trade

Donkey Hotay asked whether the Seahawks would be better off by not having traded center Max Unger for tight end Jimmy Graham.

O'Neil: It's a good question, but it doesn't apply. The reason is that Seattle was going to let go of Unger. I know that for a fact. So while I think it's fair to wonder if Seattle should have held onto one of its more experienced offensive linemen, the reality is that it wasn't going to do it. In some ways, they're separate transactions. You can ask if Seattle would have been better off using its first-round pick instead of having Graham. That is something that will take years to sort out. But the way that this team and its payroll is formatted, the higher-paid veterans signed to extensions won't stay on the team as long as they would in other circumstances. That's becoming clear. And Seattle's strategy of signing so many guys to extensions is that younger players must be ready to play earlier both to fill the voids where other teams will have rank-and-file veterans and to take the place of veterans.

when we got Miller a few years back from Oakland I was pretty excited...and we never ever used him to anywhere near his potential.  When I heard we were trading for Graham I was cautiously optimistic but here we are.....deja vu all over again

Here's a fun idea: Who are the best players to play for BOTH the Panthers and Seahawks during their careers?

From the Carolina perspective and had success HERE being the main focus

1. Kasay

2.  Ken Lucas

3. Mike Wahle

4.  Deon Grant

5.  a bunch of flops like DJ Hackett
