27 Points...

Let's not forget the 4th down call or slotting Stewart out wide, he wasn't great, particularly considering 13 of those points came with the offense going no-huddle, putting more pressure on cam and not Shula.

that said, in glimpses, the play calls were great (early end around a come to mind negating their aggressive rush), but to act like the offense output was directly attributable to Shula is incorrect.

Look, if we are going to give him the blame when things go wrong, you can't deflect the praise when things go right.

We were -2 in turnovers, at one of the toughest road venues in the NFL, and still put up 27.

What the hell else do you want?

I'm not arguing, I think Shula has been decent this year, but it is true, no huddle isn't called by the O-coord.  At times he made some great calls, at some other points the play calls were mind numbing.

i actually felt like this game was horribly called. play after play was getting blown up in the backfield... not because the blocking was bad, but because it was so damn complicated that we couldnt execute right. Shula is doing some things right. i will give him that. but he has still NOT convinced me he can help this team win. This offense is performing in spite of him, not because of him. big difference

If we had another OC we would score 35 points a game with all this talent.  Who couldn't score a bunch of points with a #1 WR that gets cut from every team not named Carolina and an UDFA no one even knows what his name is.... including himself.  Corey or Philly?

Damn shula.

Even in no huddle, there is still communication between the OC and the QB.

And every team has play calls that make you say wtf.

I don't think he's a Hue Jackson or Bruce Arians, but he seems to have found a formula that works for us. It's not like we're loaded with playmakers.

On the 4th and 1, I suspect cam had a pass/run option.  Sherman was there if he ran but I gotta think cam could have gotten half a yard...he probably was thinking Olsen was going to be wide open.  Honestly, Idk why cam threw that one...but I for one liked the call to bootleg with that option though it didn't work out.

Olsen actually was open...Cam threw it behind him. He could have easily run for the 1st though. Either way, the call was fine, the execution was terrible.

    • Biiiiiig eyeroll on this.  First, Look at historical stats of the most recent historical great DBs.  I plucked 3, Revis, Sherman, and Norman (cuzz he was our guy).  Combined post age 30, there are TWO pro bowls between those 3 and wanna get this...ZERO seasons with 16 games started.  ALL missed time.  It is RARE that Corners survive that long in the NFL and its about time we started recognizing this fact.  Jaycee is a good bet because it hasnt been anything seriously devastating injury wise, and with his sample size he could and should be an incredible piece for the panthers through age 30. Jaire kinda flops on the other side, hes 28...so hes under 30, but he wants his payday before it comes up, hes also been injury prone lately.  Bulk of the contract will be on opposite side of 30.  Will both of these guys help us be better in 2026?  SURE!  No doubt, but the question is, will these guys help us past 2026...not sure. The investment isnt worth the risk, nor would the ROI be anywhere close to worth it.  Neither guy is moving us from a 6-8 win team to a 8-10 team, period. My point is we're in this state a 6-8 win team IMO and he projects us as  a 4-6 win team.  EVEN if we think Jaire or Ramsey will make us a 6-8 win team, it in NO WAY is worth the money or capital to move that much just to suck kinda less.
    • I assumed he was retiring but apparently he plans on playing multiple more seasons.  Florida is gonna have trouble holding onto everyone.  Happens to all teams that have that much success.
    • I hate Marchand, but if he became a free agent.....
