This is your basic power play from the Panthers. Notice the block from the pulling left guard Andrew Norwell, as well as the one from right tackle Mike Remmers, who both get their men on the ground. This is Carolina’s favorite "gap scheme" run, and you’ll often see it with running back Jonathan Stewart, but he’s not the only one toting the ball on the power play.

the meat and potatoes of the article right here...

“They’re the most diverse and multidimensional running game in the NFL,” Cosell said, “and it isn’t even close.”

This is an offense that wants to grind it out on the ground, and they attack you in a number of different ways. Whereas some teams, like the Eagles, may run two or three different concepts in a game, the Panthers may run seven or eight. That’s not the only reason for their success. There are lots of teams that aren’t as effective that run systems like that, but it means that there is a lot to prepare for when this team lines up.

tried, failed...sorry

Just copy and paste.

"The beauty of the Panthers' run game is that there are so many layers to it. The main reason for those layers is the natural ability of quarterback Cam Newton, who is playing probably the best that I have ever seen him in the NFL. Are there still missed throws from time to time that likely drive some of the coaches nuts? Absolutely. But Newton has looked more comfortable, more confident and more in control of that offense than ever before without a big-time threat on the outside). Newton's arm talent and athleticism make this offense go."

    • I mean, you probably should've waited after the season is over before "going there," that way we we'd have four more games of comparison and discussion. Don't get me wrong, I occasionally go out on a limb, but Bryce just had his best game and has given people hope (which could realistically be false hope), and Shedeur just doesn't have that many games under his belt (even if he does look promising), one of them being against the Titans. No harm in being patient and letting things play out.  If you noticed, Tepper seems to be taking a wait-and-see attitude, and he didn't mention Bryce in the clip in the other thread. I'm still highly skeptical of Bryce (and glad that Sanders has shown an ounce of success), but the reality is that we have to let things play out. The Sanders train left long ago (if it was even here). But,there are more realistic options if Bryce turns back into a frog.
    • imagine thinking that talking about our next opponent is "gassing up" someone.... and then lying about basic info because it's not flattering to the league's worst starting QB since he arrived.  as a starter he is 2-3 (just a fact) as a starter vs Bryce this year pass yards per game - Shough rush yards per game - Shough comp % - Shough  QB rating - Shough yards/per attempt - Shough and Shough is only good for a 2nd year rookie thrust into the gig on a bad team.   He is getting graded on a curve of what he is.  And he won the last head to head vs us, and looked like the best QB on the field that day.   there are a billion red flags when it comes to Bryce Young.  This is just another.
    • Imagine gassing up a 2-4 QB for a terrible division rival with stats worse than our QB in every category except raw yards per game
