We've won with Rodney Peete at the helm  as well.  Losing Kalil hurts, but this team needs Cam more.

I'm not saying that Cam isn't crucial to this team's success.  I AM saying that Kalil doesn't have as capable a backup as Cam does.  The drop-off is far steeper in my opinion between starter and backup.  Given that Kalil is the anchor of this line that can be argued as being one of the single biggest contributors to this offenses utility, this is not a small matter.

Couldn't pick a better team for him to be out against, but couldn't pick a worse night (raining)

I dunno... IND line is horrible at going after the passer, but their run defense I think has actually been slightly above average.  And SO much of our offense is centered around running the ball, which will only be emphasized more by the weather.  At least in 2012 we still had Smitty on the team.  We weren't dependent on Cam making hay with a shaky O-line and dollar store WRs

We are fortunate to have a great interior line, which helps mitigate Kalil being out.  I hope Velasco brings his A game.  We know Remmers is capable as a fill in...but don't know if Williams is healthy enough to take a ton of snaps of Velasco struggles and Remmers is moved to C.  Let's just hope the O-line holds up and Stewie runs over everyone.

Here's to hoping!  *cheers*  If we make it to 7-0 tonight, then we will have a ton of say-so in our playoff destiny going forward.  One game at a time.
