Greg Hardy hates the fact he's not here

So you support people being punished even when they have been cleared in a court of law?

If I were in his position, I probably would have sued... that being said, I love my Panthers and dont want to talk about this anymore. My final outlook on the ordeal was that is was liberal PC bullshit, and Richardson let the corrupt propaganda media make the decision for him. All of it PC nonsense.

First...he was never really cleared in a court of law.  She took the money and disappeared.

Second...I do not know whether he was guilty or not.  I was not there.  My point was only saying that he was not found "not guilty"....charges were dropped because she got what she wanted (which was money).

Does not change the fact that the guy is a loose cannon and an idiot....and he is proving that in Dallas.

As for not signing the helmet....I do not blame him.  I would not have signed it either.

What could we have done differently?

You let the guy serve his suspension (that after the Panthers knee jerk reaction of not supporting him, was reduced) and pay him for a year like Dallas.  He would have taken it.   I'm not saying he won't mess up again, but I think a year deal and see how it goes would have been fair.    Maybe we let him go for money reasons, but I can't believe that since CJ is hurt over the last 2-3 years and making bank, but who knows.   We need to stop acting like NFL players are role models, most aren't and most never will be.

Because nothing was proven.  Because he called the cops, not her.  Because she didn't show up, twice I believe.  Because in NC the domestic violence laws  are broken and a woman can say ANYTHING, about you, or I, or Hardy, and go to court and get screwed.   I don't know what happened, you don't either, completely.  But we kept Smith, who DEFINITELY ended the career of one man and tried to do it to Lucas.   The guy is pretty nuts, I admit, but I get why he probably feels that way and I don't really blame him.  He said he's come play for free even.

Eh...right, then why pay this chick off if you did nothing? I wouldn't put it past hardy, I wouldn't be surprised he did do something. But you're defending him like you know what happened here. I sure don't know what happened but the evidence is pretty clear and the pay off doesn't look good. He's a loose cannon and now he's bitter because the team 'didn't have his back' like you say? C'mon man. You get yourself in those situations or you put yourself to be in those situations, there ain't much you can do.

I don't blame the panthers for not siding with him with that topic that was hot as hell during the whole Ray Rice fiasco, the timing was horrible. They kind of did side with him though because they let him play a game...and participate in the off season. It was the media that was out  with pitch forks trying to get 'justice'. They forced the organizations hand man.

If I remember correctly, the Adrian Peterson thing was going on too. But look at what the Vikings did, they did AP worse and AP went back to them...

A) Where was it ever reported that the victim was on cocaine? Not to say she was or wasn't, but I haven't seen that reported anywhere, so I was wondering how that story came to be.

B) Even if the victim was on cocaine, that does not make her immune to assault

C) Even if she had bruises on her hands, we don't know those weren't occurred from self-defense

D) Even if she did hit him unprovoked, she's very tiny and Greg Hardy is a huge, intimidating defensive end.

See ... that proves what I am saying.

A)

Holder admits she was using cocaine on the night in question.

B) Victim excuse

C) Exactly .. WE DON"T KNOW!!!!!!

D) Victim excuse.

From my perspective this is the same thing you were saying, just the opposite.  It's not fair.  That's why the legal process should play out to it's entirety.  But righteous indignation doesn't work that way.  The more likely scenario were they were both at fault, but because "she is tiny" she gets a pass? Because Greg Hardy is huge he is guilty?

In a fair world would have gone to trial and a conclusion would have been reached.  But because "society" now convicts people before their trial, and the NFL being shamed into suspend now,  find out the truth later if you want to play football the "out of court settlement is your best bet".   People rush to judge, rush to condemn and when they are wrong never apologize. Or don't put the same fervor in their apology as they did in their condemnation.  I repeat , its not fair.

It was not money reasons we let him walk...not even in the slightest. The more I hear about what went on the more I am ok with him being somewhere else. We have the most cohesive lockeroom that I can remember. That means something...talent helps but at some point there's more than just talent.

Soooooooo, am I the only person that probably would have went straight to the bar with that 100 dollar bill?

Does that mean I have a problem?

First steps admitting you have a problem.... your halfway cured.

The saltiness of former panthers players is real. Im picturing the kraken & smitty bitter AF not watching the Monday night game, which I dont get. Our owner, coach, and GM defended Hardy all through last year and then they turn around and spit on the franchise.

Screw them, on to the packers!

I'm not saying I know what happened, I'm saying no one does and he was never sentenced, so yeah, he's not either or, but deserved benefit of the doubt.

Be honest, as fans we're being hypocritical.  We always knew Hardy was a headcase, but I doubt you was on here complaining after he was getting sack after sack the year before?   It's easy to start hating someone when they are gone, but at least be consistent when they are here.

I'm also pretty sure it's illegal to just pay someone off like that out of court, so if they had evidence, I'm sure they'd go after him.  Not saying he didn't, but also not sentenced.

I don't know if he did it, I don't know if she was just after money or got mad at him for other reasons, no one knows, and he wasn't sentenced.    He just got into a situation at the bad time in the league, a year before and he's still probably a Panther.   Either or, we have to move on, and I was just commenting that yeah, I don't really blame him, for a few reasons.   If he's bitter, I get it, or if he's just only signings Cowboys stuff, I get that too.

If he was causing issues in the locker room, then I totally understand that as well.  I don't remember hearing that.  In fact, I remember Hardy being one of the few that went to Deangelo's mothers funeral.  Doesn't sound like a bad team guy to me.

I mean, I understand the Panthers side of just being rid of it for PR sake.  I get it.  But like I said, I get why Hardy would be bitter.

He would have played if he could.   Blame the NFL PA for the rules, he didn't make them.   Goodell screwed us, way more than Hardy, for a witch hunt after their failure of Rice situation.  If not for that, the Hardy thing wouldn't have been a big deal period.

Don't disagree that Goodell screwed us too but we surely don't owe Hardy anything. It wasn't like we told him to do what he did. I am sure Gettleman is kicking himself for franchising Hardy knowing that he was a loose cannon. But  I doubt  that he could have foreseen how things were going to turn out last year.

Remember when the Hardy Nut Huggers defended this douche by calling Nicole Holder the crazy, spurned ex-girlfriend?

Greg Hardy *IS* the crazy, spurned ex-girlfriend.

I think it was probably equal with the crazy.  That's the way it goes a lot of times with people like that, they attract each other and boom.

I do as well. I was a fan of the Hogwarts Hardy but he had a propensity to do stupid stuff off the field. You have to weigh that against giving him 10s of millions of dollars.
