I wonder if they just told Pep to stay in Charlotte since he's from there.

Colts fans have been clamoring for this move for a while. They think Pep was ruining Luck by having him do too many 7 step drops with slow developing routes behind a terrible line(sound familiar?). They've also been pining for Chud's offensive genius which I'm not sure how well Luck fits into. This has the potential for a hilarious disaster which I am all for.

Isn't what Chud has been doing in Indy....sprinkling his Chud pixie dust on their O?  Wasn't that his job

Ryan Grigson is way more to blame for that mess than Luck.

Of all the people to get scapegoated, I sure wasn't expecting Hamilton. He is not the problem.

They're setting up chud to be the HC after they boot Pagano at the end of the season...

They fired Pep Hamilton?

Seriously?

what a bad deal.

Pep might be the best coach on that staff.  It's certainly not Pagano, or Manusky, I want to like Clyde Christensen, but I remember him best as a holdover of a staff that watched Frank Reich kinda leapfrog him (he also succeeded Shula in TB to eerily similar results, but the email-forward style "OMG SHULA WASN'T SABAN AT ALABAMA" hot take doesn't really ever mention that).

That's not to say Pep was the next great head coach, but he was good, and the D is a bigger problem there.  If I were putting together a staff for next year, I'd have him handy.

I did a quick writeup on Chud, Pep, and the interim hirings this year.  It's all a mess.
