Aaron Rodgers Is Mad

You know what? fug Aaron Rodgers. There, I said it.

He won his one Super Bowl 5 years ago and before that he was known as a really good QB that couldn't get it done. This notion that he's superhuman is ridiculous.

People saying dumb poo like, "He's the Michael Jordan of football." Please. Last time I checked, he's going to need about 5 more rings before he can be mentioned in the same breath as MJ. Fuging a dude. Ok. End rant. I feel better.

QBs can get mad all they want, they don't catch their own passes or generate their own offense. Cam is the only QB in the league who generate his own offense whether receivers catch the ball or not. So, Rodgers can just shut up and go sit down next to the punter and kicker.

Pretty sure WRs still have to catch the ball for Carolina to win.

Reading the GB boards, a number of Pack fans are criticizing his play over the last few games. They feel he is too cautious at times, because he doesn't like interceptions on his stat line, with the result that he leaves plays on the field.

I haven't watched them enough to know if it's true or not, but it's an interesting perspective.

    • I wouldn't have picked up the option, to me he's that replaceable. I think the Panthers are taking a more cautious strategy, not ready to move on yet but also holding off on committing to him until the last possible time.  Basically, he's a competent NFL QB. He's bottom third in the league. That's actually not a terrible thing. You can win some with a bottom third QB. If over time he takes a few steps forward he might be a median level QB. I think those are the kinds of steps that Canales is talking about. If you've truly got a median level QB, it's probably worth keeping him as opposed to roll on the dice in the draft. But just to be super clear, I don't think he is capable of taking those steps, and I think we should and will move on after the season
    • Unfortunately this is more wishful thinking than anything. The problem is the bar is so low for what they consider success for Bryce Young. I mean we have yet to field even a top 25 passing offense with Bryce Young heading into his fourth season and it's basically considered a when not if we begin contract extension talks with him.
    • Thats not what I'm saying at all.  OT will be overdraft just because of position, I wouldnt want to reach on a guy just cause he is an OT.  Is the 4th best OT better than the second CB or DT? We have a lot of holes on this team and areas where we can upgrade starters
