Best showing by the receiving core all season.

Well done by that group today, for sure. And Cotchery keeps proving why he's on this team week after week. He's made so many clutch catches for us. He's this year's version of Ricky "Mr. Reliable" Proehl.

I still get nervous when Philly is making a catch, but he is doing his best to remove those doubts. Well done by the young man for bouncing back.

If Funchess can build on his successes today we could really be in for a treat the second half of the year.

That is a good thing as it looks like we will need to draft a shutdown corner to replace that fellow looking for his big payday.

I hope not, since we will likely not be able to draft a replacement who is quite as good.

I think we might have a decent shot at resigning him, although even as good as he is, I wouldn't break the bank for him.

Cotchery has been the dark horse WR for this team. Constantly making huge catches in critical moments. I've also been very impressed with Philly Brown. I was REALLY low on him in preseason with all those drops and a little to start the season, but he has come on now and is making big catches. Shoutout to Thomas96 because he was right all along. Funchess is starting to find his spots and he is looking more comfortable. I still love Ginn even despite his drops. Ginn's ability to stretch the field this year has been HUGE. "Worst" WR core getting it done.

Lol I'm not sure Philly's proven my "right all along" yet but I'm certainly happy with his play overall---not a single drop in games that count this year! Just wish he wouldn't disappear completely for a few games in there. Really like what we do with those end arounds to him though. I think if Funch continues to improve when we get KB back next year our WR group can actually be a strength. Philly/Cotch/Ginn rotating at the 3 and 4s or even with Funch and a clear dominant "#1" in KB, and obviously Olsen is one of the best. So much to be excited about going forward.

Let's pretend that the FO agrees - what do you do about it at this point? It's fair to criticize if you have a suggestion/thought on the remedy to go with it.

I had a boss once who always said. "A complaint without a suggestion, is just a bitch." That rule wouldn't go over very well up in here though.

I could also see us tagging him.

Agrees, but this post was intended for the Gano thread. No idea how it ended up here. I agree that the WRs showed up big time this game.

When reading threads, I use the multi-quote button. Sometimes I just forget to actually use it. So there are times when I respond, that the response is a tad off. This would be one of those times.
