So...the Titans, other than being in the worst division in the NFL

The only possible way they could beat us is if we have a total mental snoozefest post-Gauntlet. The Titans (right now) have nothing. I do like Mariota a lot though, they'll have something with him in the future.

I  said this when I watched their Falcons game, but that really might be the least talented roster in the NFL. However, they do have guys that could potentially be matchup problems.

Justin Hunter and DGB are two young wideouts I've seen mentioned on here as players posters wanted to target in each of their drafts.

Brian Orakpo was a Pro Bowler with the Redskins  (no idea how he is doing there because, well, Titans.)

Delanie Walker is a very good tight end.

Not much film is out there on Marcus Mariota and he doesn't seem to be as careless with the football as Jameis is.

Derrick Morgan is a good pass rusher that I only know of because during free agency this offseason he took a Snapchat of the sky with the caption "Carolina blue?" and that caused everyone here to speculate he was the Hardy replacement only to see him re-sign with Tennessee.

But I think you are spot on with this. We have a team that has trouble closing out games as it is, and after Seattle, two primetime games, and a potential NFCCG preview, you're asking them to bring the same intensity when they go visit the Titans. I can easily see another Saints game scenario where a supposed walkover turns into a tight game.

We better come ready to play.

With games against Seattle, Philly, Indy and Green Bay our team won't be nearly as pumped to play a 2-6 Titans team.

Marcus call play...

This will be a close game.

Only thing close about this game will be that the Titans are the closest AFC team geographically to the Carolinas. Wouldn't be surprised if Velasco, Daryl Williams, DA, Fozzy, CAP, Tre, Klein, and Teddy Williams see significant snaps to rest and reduce the injury risk to a lot of our starters.

Mariota's only wins have come vs. the Sucs and Taints. Time to make him fear the NFC South.

We're gonna win 20-3. Gonna coast after our first drive in the third quarter. Don't be surprised if we only throw the ball 20 times. Heavy running with fozzy and/or CAP to give stew's legs a breather. First half, we shut them out and go in at half 14-0. Then we keep running it. 300 yards rushing for the team, 150-ish passing. Gano misses an extra point, then they have a big drive that stalls and they settle for their only points all day to end the 3rd. Then we finally finish a game as strong as we started.

As someone else said, no game in  the NFL is a given. The Titans have talented receiving weapons in Delanie Walker, Dexter McCluster, Justin Hunter, DGB, and Kendall Wright. Their offensive line however is extremely bad, led by our very own Byron Bell. Marcus Mariota has looked alright, the Titans have no clue how to use him though. They've only had him attempt a run 11 times when that is one of his biggest strengths. They've tried to turn him in to a pure pocket passer and as a result he's been sacked 19 times in 6 games. He has also played very poor the Bills which is the only really good defense he has faced this year. Their entire defense is just meh all over. This should be an easy game but anything is possible.

We have a target on our back. They have a young QB who's playing good football. Our team obviously needs to stay focused and not let up.

No NFL game is a sure thing. They are coming off a big win with lots of confidence

I'll call it Panthers 28, Titans 17.

I'm really hoping we get a strong lead (3 scores) early in the game and can spell a lot of our vets, giving more reps to CAP, Tre, Daryl Williams, AJ Klein, Bene, Shaq, Delaire....

Can someone tell me what offense Titans play and how that affects to what extent Bene will be playing Nickel?  It would be great if he could get some outside reps and spell Tillman a bit.

I wouldn't get the big head.  The Titans can play ball.  They're in a turmoil right now and sometimes that can be a dangerous thing.  I take no team lightly.  The odds are, we will win.  However, any team can be spurred on by some of the slightest little things (such as a coach being let go, etc.)  If you don't think I'm right, just look at our own team.  We need to come to play and play hard.
