So...the Titans, other than being in the worst division in the NFL

Their defense is pretty good but Rivera knows how to corral rookie QBs

I was comparing the defensive stats using the Sporting Charts matchup tool:

http://www.sportingcharts.com/nfl/teams/matchup/364-carolina-panthers-vs-336-tennessee-titans/

Interestingly, the Titans rank quite a bit ahead of us in terms of fewer yards allowed, but we are better in terms of fewer points allowed.

We're doing MUCH better on take aways, and limiting big plays.  Also, our opponents' Red-Zone scoring % (touchdowns) is much lower than Tenn.  We rank 9th, they rank 30th.

I guess this is a pretty good picture of "bend but not break."  We're allowing yards, but limiting the damage on scoring.

I feel like this is the game we finally get our blowout that we don't lose the lead...

The team is obviously focused, they didn't have a day off while playing one of the worst reams we'll play this season. Rivera won't let them underestimate them. IM confident they're going for the kill this game.

I hope the team takes this game seriously, especially since they did just beat a team that we didn't exactly blow out.

Side note: I'm still surprised they didn't take that deal from Eagles with all those picks and players. That would have had them dominant for the next decade IMO

Well yeah, he was playing the Saints.

Yea and Cam didn't have 370 yards and 4 TDs when we played the Saints vs their backup QB....

Mariota is good and can make teams pay for mistakes...

We better not sleep on the Saints either considering Norman saved that game at the end and that was without Brees.

The Titans are a hungry and underrated team with Marcus Mariota playing QB.  Their defense is actually decent and if Mariota can make some plays this game could be closer than most expect.  I hope we don't get caught sleepwalking in this one because it's definitely a trap game.  The Titans have OWNED the Panthers.  They've only met 4 times since 1996, but every game has been a blowout one way or another.

11/13/2011    Tennessee Titans  @  Carolina Panthers       Titans Win 30-3
11/04/2007    Tennessee Titans  vs  Carolina Panthers       Titans Win 20-7
10/19/2003    Tennessee Titans  @  Carolina Panthers       Titans Win 37-17
11/24/1996    Houston Oilers       vs  Carolina Panthers       Panthers Win 31-6

I never overlook anyone. Don't underestimate anyone, either. This is the NFL and anyone can beat anyone. The 0-15 Lions damn near beat the Packers in Lambeau in 2008. We will have a tough game on our hands and we need to not be cautious or stupid. If we play the way we need to, we'll be 9-0.

The packers weren't that good in 2008...
