This nfl.com writer is being sarcastic about #Bannergate, right?

Several Panthers players, either unwilling or incapable of understanding the gravity of the situation, sent tweets taking responsibility for the decision to swipe the banner, painting Newton as a common patsy.

But he also said this...

Quote

It's been a day since North Carolina Army vet Mike Dobs had his man room compromised forever by the scoundrel Cam Newton.

NFL Media's Patrick Claybon did some digging, calling up FASTSIGNS, a national signage company with a location in Fayetteville. Claybon reports that a 5x3 vinyl sign can be purchased for $119. Dobs valued his sign at $500, though it's unclear who he did business with.

The last word goes to Cam Newton himself, who was asked about the escalating situation on Monday. His response: "What banner?"

We will provide updates to this story as it develops.

I think I have detected the carefully hidden, yet subtle scent of snark in this guys article.  Please tell me I'm right about this, I'd hate to read the linked article as a serious piece.

Oh, and one follow-up question with regard to #BannerGate... if Sergeant Major McRacist and his son-in-law Corporal Cracker had NOT intended to tie this banner in a fixed position inside the stadium in opposition to stadium rules, how come they had string attached to the banner (which, we were told, almost amputated poor Corporal Cracker's finger)?

After watching his around the NFL segments he clearly is being a wise ass when he talks about Cam .. he's made it clear numerous times about his dislike for him and our team so him making that kind of statement just proves he's just another Cam hater who takes cheap shots every moment he can.

As some of you may know, logo'd stuff is my business.

I sell banners (and other things) to organizations, companies as well as individuals.

A standard, full color 3' X 5' vinyl banner with grommets is a whopping $45 + freight.

These are not "cheap" banners either they are indoor/outdoor, color-fast banners that can take up to 5 years of uninterrupted all weather abuse.

$500 gtfoh and stfu while youre at it Mike Dobbs
