That Crazy Joe Web Wildcat Play

When they ran that poo at the GB game E Robinson said on the radio that they were setting it up to throw out of in the future. Cam in his presser was talking about how good his hands are yesterday. Watching it Cam is running a go route on the outside. Maybe he will be the first QB to run, throw and catch a TD in a game. I hated it at the time but am warming up to the possibilities.

I don't care what they plan on setting up for the future.  Running the wildcat when you already have Cam Newton is stupid as hell.

If you really want to run a trick play where Webb throws the ball, do what we did in 2011.  Newton throws a pass behind the LOS to Webb, Newton runs to a spot on the other side of the field and Webb lobs it back to him.

In week 17 when we're already 15-0 and up by 30 points on Tampa with 30 seconds left in the game, then let Webb throw a pass to Cam so he can be the 1st(?) QB ever to get TDs by passing, running & catching.

I agree. Then I listened to his 20 minute presser this afternoon. When he talks about how good his hands are I thought back to that play. He would make one hell of a red zone target.

That would be such a great thing to do. Throw, run, AND catch a TD in a game. He should totally to that in his hometown of Atlanta to make it even more special.

I got no problem with trick plays and setting them up for the future. But do it when the game is not so close. Just more film for opposing teams to watch and be prepared for.
