A quick, heartfelt "Thank You" to the New Orleans Saints

Two straight weeks, the panthers will have faced teams feeling pretty good about their respective offenses, thanks to the saints' revolutionary "bend and break, then bend and break some more" defense.

Skillfully crafted by a bearded blob of stale vanilla pudding named Rob Ryan, this revolutionary defensive scheme hinges on letting the opposing team score as quickly as possible so the team can maximize the amount of passing stats Drew Brees can amass.  Those stats are what it's all about.

Anyway, the Titans put up 34 points on you guys in a win, so thank you for that.  They were feeling pretty good about themselves, coming home to face a real NFC South opponent and got punched in the mouth.

Now this week, you have played the Redskins, who put up 47 points on you.  Wow, Saints fans!  I knew that you normally enjoy letting cousins violate you down in Louisiana, but Kirk passed through your defense faster than creole food passes through SCP's lower intestinal tract.  That's fast.

Kirk Cousins is likely to come into BoA stadium thinking life is pretty easy, only to freefall back to earth once again.  You like that?  You like that?

No wonder people look at message boards as the lowest common denominator of sports talk.

*we are different though....right?

If we were in their shoes, and our team had to go on the road to play an undefeated team......    more than half of our posters would predict us to lose....and rightfully so.

    • If you need someone to run your multi-billion dollar business, maaayyyybe don't hire a guy whose previous work experience includes repeated blows to the head and literal brain damage but IDK.
    • Extrapolate that with every QB for that matter. I guarantee you there's quite a bit of missed opportunities and yards left on the field for everyone. Many NFL QBs deal with WRs not putting in A+ effort, subpar o-line play and other deficiencies. The great ones are able to rise above these issues and create opportunities for plays. Guys like Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes can both play in and out of structure, as well as find ways to get yards when things break down and mask mistakes by throwing guys open, creating opportunities from nothing, etc. Bryce Young has only shown he's able to make things happen when the rest of the team picks up his slack. Very rarely does he create those opportunities himself. When this is a consistent pattern year after year with Bryce where he shows up lackluster, it's a concern. This is year three and he should be elevating the team as a first overall pick this franchise traded up for.  He was far from elevating anyone against JAX. In fact, he needed others to elevate and create for him. Excuses may be fine for a rookie, but this is year three for the first overall pick. Not looking good so far.
    • I think the worst issue is coaching. Countless bad snaps, XL not getting his feet in or trying on runs plays, our centre being down field when he didn't need to be. All seem to be from poor coaching for me. I believe Canales is to soft to rip the players a new one when the fug up. Plus I honestly believe that Canales is slow getting his plays in giving Bryce less time to diagnose and adjust to the defence. Don't worry I could of head butted Bryce for that fumble and the 4th down throw aways but the other plays are explainable to me
