Cowboys-Panthers will have the largest television audience of the NFL season

According to Barry Horn of Dallas News.

Like Jeremy said, this matchup is a dream scenario in terms of ratings (money). Romo is back and the Cowboys in contention for the NFC East.

Oh, and that other team? They happen to be 10-0. This preseason, many just hoped the Panthers would be relevant at this point. Not only are they relevant, they may be the best team in the league.

This season we have already seen arguably the biggest games in Carolina Panther regular season history. It looks like Thanksgiving's matchup may stake claim to that title once again.

Barry Horn goes on to talk about how big Romo coming back was to the pregame shows on Sunday:

Quote

As if anyone need be reminded just how valuable to the networks the Cowboys are, even on life support, Fox opened its pregame show with Tony Romo video. Eight minutes later, analyst Jay Glazier offered a Romo physical update and finally, it devoted five minutes, an eternity in the studio business, to Romo return talk.

Instead of talking Greg Hardy or Dez Bryant or any other off-field nonsense, the focus was on Romo's return from the broken collarbone after missing seven consecutive Cowboys losses.

This for a player in a game it was sending to only 11 percent of the country. That's not how things are usually done in the TV biz. The Washington Redskins-Panthers game, also a noon kickoff, was billed as going to 66 percent. Ordinarily that would mean lots of talk about Panthers quarterback Cam Newton or the job being done by coach Ron Rivera.

That Romo pre-game talk bookended with play-by-play voice Kevin Burkhardt's end-game reminder that "Tony Romo is back and so are wins for the Dallas Cowboys."

From everything I've read, Rivera has his crew laser-focused on this game. The blowout against the Skins was huge, as it gave a chance for players to rest after three quarters. Don't underestimate how big rest is when you have to play two NFL games in four days.

Please Jerry don't take the payout and have your boys lay down on Thanksgiving.... fight the good fight and let Roger know we can't just "gift" him a game for his buddy J. Jones

They look like the Gambino family hanging outside their social club in Manhattan

I'm thinking that, as soon as Richardson turned his back, Jones handed Goodell that duffel bag of cash to get Dallas to the playoffs.

Where were they all walking to, unless they were waiting for some sort of bus or transport?

That's a Manhattan street, presumably outside of NFL Headquarters on Park Ave.

Maybe, the fix was in, and Jerry and Roger were discussing it, and Jerry wanted no business with it? LOL

Ol' JR should put his football skills on display and run block both Jerrah and Gordell into traffic.

Old picture.  Denver owner not out in public anymore.

couple of takes;  in addition to the DC Area players theory that the "fix" was in for the game due to offensive name ... lol... I also heard the refs were on the take because they wanted an unbeaten Panther team facing off against their latest delusional opponent on Thanksgiving.

Also; given that good Jerry has publicly backed the Carson bid for an LA team and bad Jerry is backing the Inglewood cause, why not make this the "Los Angeles Bowl"?  Winner gets to pick which stadium gets built.

JR and Goodell are closer than JJ and Goodell
