Josh Norman vs Dez Bryant

Julio has been playing better than Bryant, both playing somewhat hurt and Dez is just getting back to form. Not sure if this is a tougher matchup than against Julio, but if you include the QB's and lines, it may just very well be.

Dez has been hurt or had Weeden throwing him the ball.  Have Weeden throw to Julio and see what happens.

Dez, physically, is the most complete WR IMO.  There are plenty who do one thing or another better.....be he is the best total package when mentally focused and w/ Romo throwing.

I don't know how healthy he is or how mentally strong he is right now....he has definitely been better.

Dez IMO is his toughest task on the year.

1.  Physically, Dez has it all.  Ability to be more physical than the other elites he sees

2.  Romo will throw all day to Dez.

Hard to throw when your on your ass. Oline may be good, but with the rotation we will have Thursday night......we should bring the heat.

if the Panthers go to the Super Bowl, we should have a Huddle Super Bowl party. get all the RR chapters together and invite all our Panther fan friends through social media. get like... 3000+ fans together in Charlotte.

all that to say, i want some more of that damn good whiskey next time i see you PhillyB ;)

dez will get his, but norman will be as good as anyone at limiting him.

and dez is a super emotional guy, the type norman excels at wheedling into mental errors. i would love to see him bait dez into taking a swing and get him ejected on national tv while i munch on cranberry sauce

I like where you're going with this, but the opposite is every bit as true as well.  Decent chance of Dez baiting Norman into doing something stupid.  One thing is almost certain, those two are going to have to be separated from one another more than once during this game.

agree but i think norman's more in control. if he does something stupid it'll be on purpose... dez would act reflexively

imho

Can't say that I agree.  I see this as a 50/50 opportunity for stupidity.  Wouldn't surprise me if both guys drew stupidity flags on Thursday.  I'll actually be surprised if this game ends without at least one of them getting flagged for something stupid after the whistle.

I don't know, Norman pretty much said he was going to punch Trent Williamson if the ref hadn't stepped in on Sunday.

Some guys just see "red".   I put both Norman and Dez in the same tier.  Overly emotional.  Cant' really predict what they will do if they get "hot" emotionally.

I wouldn't put either in a tier at this stage of their career where they understand how to really get in someone's head.   They both seem to get too caught up  in the moment for that to apply .

    • Personally I think he's a nightmare to cover I think linebackers generally aren't fast enough to keep up with him in coverage and cornerbacks don't have the strength to tackle him one-on-one in physically bring them down which would normally lead to a broken tackle or a nasty stiff arm or just bully ball play sure you could find a receiver with comparable speed like Cooper but he's faster than Cooper sure you can find a wide receiver that is the same size but he's probably More powerful than them and a better blocker.  The size speed athleticism package that he is in is completely unique it's easier to say I'd rather have just a big blocker because we've never seen this type of profile before I'm a risk taker I think you would be God blessed if this was there at 19 I think if you can get a guy that's a tight end who immediately becomes the fastest guy on your offense and at the same time that third wide receiver that can stretch and burn defenses over the top that's the perfect what the Panthers need type weapon.
    • I think you're under selling Sadiq. They are two different players in terms of how they win. Loveland is 2 inches taller maybe 5-6 pounds heavier. Comparing his speed to sadiq.. well your comparing a 4.7 guy to a 4.3 guy I'm seeing a guy that can take a bubble screen from the tight end position and turn it into a house call. I'm not saying the guy is a certified home run pick but I don't think there's really a president's for a comparison for this kind of athlete. It's easy to say this doesn't look like Warren or Loveland because we haven't seen guys that fit this profile The closest you might be able to get is Vernon Davis.  He's not as sure far as those guys were but at 19 I think almost everybody is going to have some warts and he's a lottery ticket of could be top 10 in the draft player or could fail I am more of a risk taker I think he fits the athletic profile that could be a homerun, like I said he's almost 40 lb bigger than Cooper and like 4-5 in taller than Cooper so and he's faster. So whatever you think Cooper gives you I think he does that and more. If you want to go with one of the office alignment I can understand that as well but for value as a receiving threat I don't think there's a bigger value at number 19.
    • I’ve haven’t seen anything that says we have interest in Njoku?
